I LOVE this. I'm still upset at the direction that have taken their relationship recently, but this has reminded me of how beautiful they are. I hope the writers can restore my trust in them, because I miss loving Annie and Auggie! :) Anyway, this is so well made and beautifully done.
luvtheheaven5 I LOVE them as a couple, and season 4 was far and away my favorite until they ruined it with Auggie sleeping with Helen. I don't care what reason he or they give - a "break", Annie being away, whatever, it was horrible and disgusting and I think it went completely against what we knew about Auggie as a person and CERTAINLY against what we knew about how Auggie felt about Annie. There was no official break up, but there was the implication that they would wait for one another and be together again someday and he violated that trust...they they didn't even deal with it! It just doesn't fit and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth for him as a character and for the show. Trust me, I hate that I feel this way, but I do.
Yeah I guess I get that. They do that sometimes on shows. I never quite understood cheating storylines, sometimes AT ALL, but I realized that it probably is partially because I don't get the temptation of sex at all. I have realized recently that I'm asexual ( I Support Asexuality Awareness Week ) and I just... idk. I think they did the Auggie cheating thing in a fairly well done way, though. I felt like they kept Auggie-in-character - remember that however much he loved Annie, he also had loved Helen in a similar way and he and Helen had never broken up, he'd just thought she'd died. When your lover comes back from the dead, I can imagine feelings are complicated, and it's possible to still be in love with both people. I know it's possible to break up with someone yet still love them too and sex while you're in another relationship would not be acceptable, even if it was long-distance or whatever... but again on Covert Affairs they did kind of twist what a typical couple might go through, as Auggie had zero contact with Annie for ages AND zero idea of when he would be able to see her again. Helen wanted him really badly and he was lonely anyway, and he felt bad for Helen who needed to remain "dead" to the world and couldn't just go out and find love like a normal lonely woman... and he thought Annie would never find out. He made it clear after it happened that it'd only be the one time, that sex with Helen was more like a way for both of them to reach closure rather than a rekindling of anything. Ultimately, as long as Auggie and Helen used protection (so no unwanted STDs or pregnancies could potentially result from the encounter), it really wouldn't hurt Annie or anything, I think. Not that I condone cheating if it won't technically "hurt" the other person if they never found out... I really don't. I think cheating is always unacceptable and always avoidable. I don't know. It's one of those things they do on TV shows sometimes - likable characters can't resist cheating - whether it's just a kiss or all the way through sex - and you're supposed to be able to forgive them without too much trouble, to understand... It's part of the drama, something shocking that keeps the show exciting to watch lol. I don't know. It was one of those things where Auggie would've definitely still been "in character" had he never slept with Helen, but it makes the audience think and feel so much more because he DID do it and I think somehow they did manage to keep him in character anyway, but it's understandable why some people (like you) might disagree. :P
luvtheheaven5 Wow you just expressed all my feelings about the Auggie/Helen encounter perfectly. I wasn't really angry, as a viewer, at Auggie after that episode - i just felt really bad for him. As you said he'd been alone for a long time and he had no contact with the woman he loves who he's been used to constantly having around for the past 3.5 years. What happened with Helen was a result of how lonely and heartbroken he was - Helen showed up and said she wanted him and that's what he needed at that time, to feel wanted and loved by someone. People make stupid mistakes when they're upset and to say Auggie was upset at that time is a huge understatement. I don't condone cheating at all, either, but I understand his motives behind what he did.
ugh this is so beautiful! i'm so sorry i'm watching this only now but gosh beautiful walkerson ♥. the 'and i had the week that came from hell and yes i know that you could tell' was so PERFECTLY chosen.. when he says 'liar'. oh this scene, still gives me butterflies. the beat and pacing was so perfectly done, and i did love how you referenced almost each time they almost got injured or killed and the 'and if we only die once'. the 'with broken words i tried to say' was beautiful chosen too (..)
.. and all the times he tried to tell her his feelings. 1:44 onwards and auggie screaming at his phone, oh god.. this is going to be so heartbreaking to watch auggie in the next few eps. thank you for the shoutout too! wished more people vidded this show but i'm so glad you do! beautiful video for a beautiful couple. :)

These two remind me a lot of ships like Castle/Beckett where partners who've gone through a lot of life/death scenarios together, and who get a strong friendship established first eventually start dating haha. :P

I think it might help that Chris & Piper are both happily in love now (did you hear that Piper got engaged to one of the main directors & executive producers on the show? Stephen Kay. And Chris is married and has children.) They're probably able to draw from their real experiences or something. And you can just tell they love being around each other and have such an intimate friendship as costars as well, much like Annie/Auggie in seasons 1-3 haha.

I guess A&A seemed to agree that they were not together anymore after Annie "died". It was not clear to me & very awkward when Annie snuck back to DC. I thought they were having a long distance relationship. I guess not.
They did not properly talk things through, as Annie decided to fake her own death without first getting Auggie to see her point of view on why this was a good idea. They are essentially fighting when she did it, but Auggie knew what had happened and played along with it, and I think Annie trusted Auggie to love her and wait for her and forgive her for hurting him like this (hurting him by disappearing out of his life for who knows how long without a real goodbye). They were not communicating because it'd be too dangerous, but the basic gist that both of them understood was that while Annie was undercover and presumed dead by the world, she would be able to take down Henry. Once Henry was no longer out there, they would resume their romance where they left off. That was the unspoken but seemingly agreed upon plan. Annie didn't want to deal with Auggie when she came back to DC because she was busy on a mission. Because she didn't want to fight with Auggie about faking her death being too dangerous, or be stopped by him before she had completed her mission of taking down Henry. Etc.

I was gonna try to answer when you asked the first time in the other comment, even though I don't remember off the top of my head since it was 2013 ish when I last saw it and edited this video... I ended up guessing wrong but I googled When Auggie got shot and double checked and it appears to have happened in the season 4 premiere. 4x01. I found the scene in the middle of the episode. Yeah it was disappointing that the writers broke them up. I don't understand all of your comment - were you saying this particular TV show ("Covert Affairs") was prioritizing who was most attractive over Auggie/Annie at the end, or are you saying Auggie & Annie were the most attractive, or were you saying other TV shows care more about who's most attractive?

what episode is 1:42-1:50 from ?
1:42-1:43 is Annie and Auggie pretending to be a married couple while undercover in 3x02 "Sound and Vision", hence him kissing her hand. Her getting shot in the elevator is sort of shown in a "flash-forward" in the opening part of episode 4x01 "Vamos" but that scene officially happens at the end of 4x10 "Levitate Me", the season 4 mid-season finale.
