The first 48-215 engines were made in Canada and shipped to Australia.

Im looking for a video that contains the route that the holdens took from fishermans bend around melb and then through the dandenongs and back again.

The best Holdens were built between 1956 & 2004.
The FX-FJ was a weird thing which evolved between the horse & cart and actual cars anyone could easily handle.
The VZ ushered in the unreliable overhead cam Alloy Tech & the equally problematic 6 speed automatics.
VTs, VXs & VYs are still readily available & they're really very cheap compared to any new cars.
I recommend scouring the adverts & nailing down any of the last 3 models with Ecotec power. Manual is best. Auto is still better than anything currently available new.
New cars of comparable size to VY cost 40 to 90K. Buy an old Commy for 10 & even in if costs another 10 for repairs over a 10 year period, you're still 20 to 70K in front.
Most modern cars are impossible to repair. Sit an identical Commy in your back yard & you have every spare part you could ever need.
Let the spoilt princesses have their new expensive plastic crud. Pick up any old Holden in good nick & you're instantly miles ahead.
Nice HQs & HZs are still around for 25K. Even if they drank an extra 50 bucks a week in fuel, it would take decades to spend on fuel the ridiculous cost price of a nasty crap new car.
Fit a T5 5speed to any otherwise standard Early Holden & fuel economy improves massively. T5s are cheap. Stuffing a T5 into an EH might cost 5K, but it will instantly go like a cut cat even with a 149 & the engine will never have to work hard ever again.
New cars are for mindless consumer muppets who fret to death with hideous debt.

I have seen a black and white photograph of a 48-215 taken in a studio in 1946 from Germany. It seems that we may not being told the whole truth.

Shutting down Holden was a nasty scam. Had nothing to do with cost of new Holdens.
Spoilt princess 21st century entitled luxury seekers wanted any rubbish so long as it had a plastic Euro badge stuck to it with double sided tape. These infantile muppets wouldn't be seen dead in a mere Holden. The well off trendite fool with all the credit walked straight past Holden dealers & bought cheap fail all day junk like toy Vee Dubs that blow up & can't be fixed. Sit in traffic anywhere & you can see these dopes in their Eurotrash looking down on you as their plasmatic transmission starts to dissolve & a rebuild will cost them 18K.
Goobers refused to buy new Holdens. Dealers made good money out of selling used Holdens to down to earth people & that kept things afloat for a while. But, when new Commies didn't sell after over one billion bucks was spent on tooling up for the VE, it was game over.
Clown princesses got what they wanted... Overpriced dumb rubbish with cheap plastic shiny Euro badges.
We get to sift around for good examples of Holden used cars. There are plenty still out there.
The globalists want us isolated & defenceless anyway. Car factories are easily converted to weapons factories in times of war. They've planned WW111 for 40 years & they don't want us capable of defending ourselves.
This is the big ugly secret our politicians have had onboard since 1978 when they started dismantling Australia's manufacturing capabilties & they began shutting down 11 of our 13 oil refineries.
I've watched these grubs like a hawk for over 50 years.

G'day, we really, as a country, could not give a fat rat's arse, about our motoring history. This documentary, to my disappointment, proved the fact, of my statement. Hooroo se ya later 👍
