Absolutely terrifying to a kid. The first jump scare of any movie I can remember.
So so so true my friend. Daaaammnn, the memories..
@@larssullivanfan2496 And this movie wasn't even a kids film. And that's why I liked it
Bro same
It was the sssh
Me too lol
I love that confused look Ray and Eagon give each other when Peter asks what do they do after finding the ghost.
These two were so caught up in just finding proof of the existence of ghosts that neither one of them had a plan on what to actually do if they found one.
😅
The chemistry between the three of them is off the charts.
This scene always scared the bejesus out of me. Who guessed that early 80's special effects can still hold up today?!
Yeah, I remember seeing this as a kid at my babysitter's house and all of us running across the room when she roared.
The clown scene in poltergeist scarred me for life.
@@Just_another_Euro_dude q x
@@spiegeltn Me too
Same bro, when I was 6 this scene scared me shitless, still the scariest ghost appearance I’ve ever seen
The look on Venkman's face when the Library Ghost tells him to Shhhh 🤣 gets me every time
He just looked insulted 😂
Exactly! Venkman did not take kindly to being shushed by a ghost lol
Holy crap I was so scared of this scene when I was a child 😂
Not me, but the scene where Dana gets possessed scared me the most when I was little.
@@fearfulclan2007 it was her voice changing, it was still .funny
@@seanc5226 I was talking about where Zuul comes out of the kitchen and puts her claws inside of Dana's chair and drags her into the kitchen to possess her.
@@fearfulclan2007 ooh,sorry. Yeah I remember that too,it was a class movie wasn't it? I miss the 80s. 👍
Same here.
“GET HER!”
Probably one Dan Akroyd’s most famous lines in his whole acting career and I’d say his most famous line in the movie!
As a kid back then this scene scared me bad😂
I love the fact that their reactions are genuine lol.
I can't believe I NEVER noticed the absolutely hilarious backward trot that Egon is doing until today.
"get her!!!!!" 🤣
RAHHHHHH!
@@morganspider-manmarvelfan6110 😆😆😆😆😆
@@dolphinsfan3245 Yeah, that part was funny.
"RAAAWWWRRRR!"
NOW RUN FROM HER!
"Get her... That was your plan? GET HER?!?!?"
"Listen! Do you smell something?" 😂
The dynamic of Bill Murray as an ironic parental figure at 2:30 really works.
Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters. My childhood memories are filled with awesome movies
I’m almost 31. But I feel like I was born in the wrong generation because of these franchises
This scence scared the crap out of me as a kid 😂
Such a classic horror-comedy scene, I liked it.
3:10 Me And The Bois When A Bee Flies Into The Room
Nothing beats the original Ghostbusters, not even Afterlife
I like Afterlife but the Original is unbeatable
Afterlife sort of made up for the terrible 2016 version
lol afterlife is a toy for children with zero energy, lacks pretty much anything that made this movie great
I think GB 1,2 and Afterlife are on par. I personally can’t choose
I used to close my eyes at this scene when I was a child 😂
I think this is one of my first memories in life, getting the crap scared out of me from this scene as a kid
RIP Harold Ramis
RIP Ivan Reitman
This scared me so badly and still does even now
" GET HER!!!"
Another great movie 🔥❤️🔥
2:20 “Stop that!” What every parent wants to do to their kids whose faces are stuck on their phones lmao
This ghost shows up in the Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire trailer.
The first shot at 1:49 scared the crap out of me as a child, even more so than the jump scare. My mum used to work in a video shop (remember those…) in the 80’s on the weekend and occasionally I would have to go with here if my dad was working. Used to sit behind the counter watching the latest home movies and that was when I saw ghostbusters for the first time 👍 I remember it being damn cool to have the ghostbusters sweater too
Esta peli nunca pasara de moda. La he visto tantas veces. Geniales!!!
Thank the Good lord that I grew up in the 80's
I maybe a 90’s baby but sometimes I wish so too
Pure 80s nostalgia 👌
I maybe a 90’s baby but this is one of few movies that sparked my appreciation for the 80’s
Fun fact... that demonic figure the Library Ghost changed into? It would show up exactly 1 year later. Courtesy of another gem from Columbia Pictures. Here's a clue....
SOOOOOOOOOOO!
That's right, from 1985, Fright Night. The animatronic figure was reused as the bat that Chris Sarandon would transform into during the final battle at his house...❤
I remember when I first saw this in theaters, the audience screamed and couldn't stop laughing for the next five minutes.
PKE Meter is such a cool device. Doesn't get as much love as the Proton Pack, but is just as important in busting ghosts
If not more important. How are you gonna use the Proton Packs on the ghosts if you can't find said ghosts?
One of my fav movies of all time!!! And yet I still don't hav either the first or second one on dvd smh
Venkman: Egon your mucus😂
3:07 and 3:08 Ready.... GET HER!!!
HE HE HE GET HER!!! that was your plan question mark get her
Apparently that book shelf collapsing was a blooper they decided to keep.
2.49. 'The usual stuff isn't working.' Like they have done this many other times. Very funny.
This scene used to scare me so much as a child
Ray shouldn't have pushed it. She simply told Peter to shush. But, when Ray yelled, "GET HER!!!"...well... 👻😱
When I saw this movie for the first time I was very young so didn’t really understand what was going on my grandma and grandpa said this movie was a classic. This scene scared the heck out of me
She is back in Frozen Empire.
I never got scared of this scene as a kid. Even the first time I saw this when I was 3 I never got scared.
1:10 Fun fact this book case fell down completely by accident and wasn't meant to however it fit so well with the scene that they kept it 😮
Even as a kid, this made me laugh so hard. The roar the librarian makes is so priceless.😂
One of my favorite scenes in the movie
Well, guess who is returning in Frozen Empire
Peter Venkman:Stop That!!!2:19
Ray Standz:Get Her!!!3:07
This dude said listen ! Do you smell something? 🤣 What it's do you hear something I love those old subtle funny lines like that .
Note also Murray's "WTF" look after he said it.
@@sonrouge lol 😂 I didn't even notice that
Someone Blows Their Nose & You Want To Keep It.? 🤣
3:08 😂😂 my favorite part
Librarian ghost: *jumpscares*
Bellsprout: *gets scared* bellsprout
"Listen! You smell something??" - one of my favorite out of context lines ever.
Also, I used to skip this scene as a little kid because it freaked me out so damn much. We had a library in my neighborhood that was very much like this one in its spooky vibe and I used to be scared of encountering something like this there.
Shhhhhhhhh! This scene gave a lifetime phobia of little old ladies. Great stuff!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Man i was terrified as a kid. But now i found this scene hilarious bahahaha 😂
I’ve came back to this clip multiple times I love ghostbusters this ghost is nightmare fuel I am also going to make a Star Wars horror movie fan trailer I think this ghost is pretty close in appearance to the in universe entity I have in mind
You should watch the music vid "Come to daddy by Aphex Twin .. Inspiration 😉🤘
I was only 8 years old when I saw this in the theater. Scared the ever loving crap out of me 🤣
80s and 90s movies sure did love thick slimy goop.
Casper was the first to prove it to me
Egon tap-danced his way out.
'somebody blows their nose and you wanna keep it'🤣
Still one of the most iconic scenes fom the movie
Holy crap I was so scared of this scene when I was a child 😂Who guessed that early 80's special effects can still hold up today?!
0:49 we've all been here, right lads? 😂
My favorite movie growing up
Omg the laughter this movie brought!!!
It’s funny how they look as they start to approach the ghost with that music playing but even funnier how they look when they run away scared. Ray and Egon are backing away fast terrified while Peter’s running as if he’s saying, “Come on! Come on! Let’s get out of here!”
She comes back in Frozen Empire
Basically that's P.M.S. LOL 😁👍💙🇺🇸
Best plan in the history of the world - Get him! 🤣
RAGH!
Love that they brought her back in Frozen Empire
Movie clips❤️ lv u beautifully well made love the way you represent
Such a great effect, looks better than most CGI effects now
No human being would stack books like this.
😋
Bill pulled dan's ear when he wasnt listening. He was so distracted in the scene.
“Listen! You smell something?” 😂
i knew after this scene this movie is going to be good
Popcorn in Bed: I did not like that! That was terrifying!
A Masterpeace of Film Making History! 😊😁👍👌🍊🎃🍁
Come over here, Francine 😂👻
“I have a plan. I know exactly what to do.”
I love this movie!
I died 14 years ago and still love watching this movie…
This is one of the best horrormedies ever made
This scene scared me when I 1st saw it.
The new Frozen Empire trailer sent me here! One of few surprising Easter Eggs that grabbed my attention!
I'll be working in the building that inspired this ghost, in a couple weeks. Just cleaning
Thanks! 👻
I love Ghostbuster my childhood
Real title:moviebuster
Good look
I love 💕💕💕 this videos
So scary
The perfect movie
GET HER! 😆
40 years later, she would remember Ray.
I love this movie. Sweet share! Hugs xo
who else is coming back here after seeing the second ghostbusters frozen empire trailer
Me
lol yeah me too
They should’ve came back (No uniforms) with proton packs and caught this ghost. It could’ve been the first scene they used the proton packs in.
That would have been something of payback
The ghost face is so scary
Listen! .........you smell something?
Aww 🤣
