A neat and unique looking tablet with that kicksand design. My only question about it is this: will this get the FULL desktop version of Windows 10 when upgraded?
Hi. I have a problem. When a change the OS to 8.1 pro clean, installing all drivers downloads to lenovo website. The problem is the touch, not working with my fingers but the pen or another thing work. Need fix this problem. Can you help me? Thanks.
Hi budiwiong there is an 8 inch and 10 inch ,13 inch with a sim ,LTE the product code is 105L l but a managed only to find it in the Japanese lenovo site and e-bay
Funny, I have a Dell Venue 8 Pro and I have only used the physical Windows button a few times- to reboot. I find it plenty easy to just tap Start from the Charms.
hi windows central, im looking for 8" windows tablet for me to run windows based metatrader 4... any recommendation on the latest model. Windows based metatrader 4 can display custom indicators which android and ios cant.
Hi, Thanks for the great review. I was wondering if you could elaborate on the palm rejection issue. How bad is it? From the video it seems as if only the sharp points of the hand leave marks in one note when placing the palm on the screen. Does it ignore the pen input when it is activated by the palm or does it record both simultaneously? Since there does not seem to be a consensus online about palm rejection with AnyPen, it would be great if you could shed some light.
Hi, could you tell me that if i can use micro usb to hdmi display out on this 8" tablet? As There is no MHL support? As dell venue pro 8 and other 8" tablets work with those adapters? Is it works with this one as well? Thanks.
I am not interested in pen, camera. I just want a Full HD x86 Windows tablet with stereo speakers and weighs below 450 grams. So far, I only found this. Are there any others?
is this still a good buy this year? my use for it would be online work when there are power interruptions here and I will need the long battery life and performance to do my online work.
juffurey Its more than that though. Lenovo is breaking HTTPS security on its devices. It doesn't seem to transmit information about the user back to any server, so no, it's not spyware. But breaking, and then faking, SSL encryption is arguably much worse.
As we have mentioned elsewhere, Lenovo certainly is deserving of the criticism. However, this tablet does not have Superfish, nor any really Lenovo bloatware for that matter. It's a clean, smooth Windows install. Lenovo screwed up, no argument. Nonetheless, they still build interesting products that we think are worthy of consideration. We also always recommend that people buy their products through Microsoft directly, even Lenovo, as their Signature Series ensures there is no adware/spyware/bloatware. The Lenovo products sold by Microsoft in the fall did not have Superfish on them.
Thinking about replacing my wife's Lumia 2520 with this. Honestly... That service was a disappointment but of well. Dying to see the Bluetooth keyboard with this.
I'm sorry I've been chomping at the bit for this to be reviewed and finally i find a vid and i get the word consumer dropped about 40 times !!! Apparently i gotta take your word on everything because clearly demoing the writing to the extant of it being called "ANYPEN' was over your head and the same goes for audio !! I guess you figured the consumer at home ears were to tender to be able to comprehend the volume or sound capacity hence the no sound !!
*False*. For one, Lenovo stopped shipping products with Superfish in *January* before this tablet was even available to buy. Number two, Lenovo never put it on tablets, just consumer (non-ThinkPad) laptops. Three, we scanned for any adware with the Windows Defender update and it came up negative. Four, I mention a lot of this in the video and article. Lenovo deserves the criticism it is getting, however, I think we should keep the facts straight so that consumers can make the appropriate decisions. This is, in our opinion, a very nice Windows tablet.
Windows Central You do know that superfish is undetectable by Windows Defender right? It's installed at the same permission levels as windows itself so it won't come up.
I don't care if Lenovo apologized and removed the offending adware from all of its latest devices. I refuse to support a company that deceives and has such little regard for its customers. I'm not naive enough to think that other companies deceive but this practice by Lenovo was egregious. Unless the CEO and CTO resigns, I will NEVER buy a Lenovo product.
I was looking for a tablet and base on the specs, price and design I think this is gonna be my new acquisition. Good video, thanks.
I have the 10" version of this with the keyboard and I haven't been disappointed yet. It is perfect.
The Yoga Tablet 2 is a great device in all sizes. You really can't do much better than these tablets for Windows.
I own the 10 inch iteration. It's fantastic!!!

Is this tablet available in the Netherlands? Can't seem to find it there.
I'm impressed by this tablet
The anypen is a great feature
how would you use a remote connection requiring keyboard input?
So, if I want to purchase a tablet exclusive to take notes, better go with the toshiba?

im intrigued .
I have a Dell Venue 8 and I prefer the hardware home button. Those capacitive buttons are too easy to activate by accident.
Good to know and worth considering, thanks!
In light of recent events, might give Lenovo products a miss for the foreseeable future.
i.e. ... preloading ad/spyware? lol
juffurey
