I got the 5G version today, and I'm going to be completely honest with you all. This device is a major disappointment. I'm leaning towards returning it. I didn't want to be that guy, but i have to be honest

The worst part about their controllers is the joystick is placed directly below the face buttons. It’s a horrible playing experience compared to other handhelds or controllers.
You can do the same with your current phone and a controller

So it's the size and shape of a phone _but isn't a phone_
The controllers are removable _but aren't wireless_
It can be connected to a big screen _but doesn't come with a dock_

Which is truly remarkable to go after the same niche premium priced local streaming and local android game market. And do it worse with a worse viewing experience , worse controllers, worse battery life, worse ergonomics, worse build quality.
If anyone thought the gcloud makes little sense then definitely avoid this. And if this makes sense to use then I guess if you want a flimsy detachable system then go for it

Why would it be $199 when the Kishi V2 Pro alone is $100? It literally has the chipset of a $1000 phone... $300 sure, but $200? Get Real.
The price is plenty reasonable considering the overall package.

The ram difference is fucking stupid! I'm not on Verizon and I don't care about cloud gaming I just want an Android tablet that isn't 10+ inches with decent specs and this would be perfect. I recently got a tab 7 lite for pretty cheap and it's slow as shit!

I dont miss mine that much and i have both the razer phone 1 & 2..they pissed me off so hard when they all of a sudden dropped support with updates..idk wth they were thinking to release a great phone, but not continue to support it..Its whatever now, im happy with my galaxy fold.

The wifi version of this costs the same as the base model steam deck, the 5G version is an extra $200, that's a really hard sell.
What's your point obviously people that are viewing this video are interested in this product not the steam deck you guys need to crawl under a rock you are annoying everyone

You do get a decent resolution for the size, 144hz refresh rate and the CPU is top notch!
So those are great options in today's Android tablet offerings. Honestly you'd pay $1200 if this thing said Samsung on it!

A good handheld but at the same time a very poorly designed hanthe issue I have is with the controller. The 1st version I had was the razor Kishi V-2 for a phone. I used the hell out of it. The buttons go bad real fast. The plastic wears down real fast I can't even read the name on the side of the controller anymore. It completely rubbed off after 2 months same with the Ladders on the buttons they're gone then after 3 months the USB port starts to Go bad You have to take the controller off fuck with the USB port Put it back on Just so the phone recognizes it? That's the same problem the whole handheld is having. You're better off buying a Bluetooth controller and getting rid of the razor Kishi V-2 controller. The USB port is too delicate. And the device doesn't really sit in the controllor sturdy enough for it Not to move around and eventually fuck up the USB port. That's the only reason that stopping me from getting the handheld after having the controller on a phone just as powerful. So $400 can get you the razor handheld or a A steam deck that has the controllers built on and you won't have no issues 2 3 months down the road Like I did literally 2 and a 1/2 months in the controller barely works. And it starts to fuck up the port inside your phone as well because your phone is constantly shifting inside the controller when you're playing I loved it at 1st and couldn't get enough of it and Recommended it to everyone but now I do not after seeing what happened After 2 and a 1/2 months I'm back using my playstation controller looking to get a Bluetooth version. Maybe like the xbox one because I have no problems with latency from Bluetooth. Models will just go that route that's one less problem I will have with hardware. If the controllers are not attached permanently to the handheld don't get it You regret it.
There are a bunch of cool android devices, but unless you're going hard with streaming and emulators, there isn't much for you. It's kinda sad, because Android is like the windows of mobile platforms and could be awesome for games, but what's available is straight slop game wise.
Just like with handheld PCs, people will soon realize the value in android gaming, who doesnt have a phone?
Yup. Shame because an android phone with a midrange chipset can easily run some indie pixel art games if properly ported.

Cloud gaming is the future. I was a huge skeptic but I've used it a ton (mainly to play games that arent cross platform with my Xbox friends) it's amazing how well it works. No reason for people to deal with bad graphics that would be required if these devices actually did the processing
Why would I go for this instead of a Steam Deck for PC gaming or a Switch for console gaming or my phone with the Razer Kishi
Easy, is more flexible than a switch and can play ps2 and streaming games, and it have more battery than a normal steam deck even if the compromise is to have less software compatibility with pc games
And it have gaming in its design that's why the camera is on horizontal and it comes with a powerful power brick, apparently had fans and basically is a out of the box gaming experience, but that's all i can say to defend this device XP
I have a razer phone 2 I use as an emulator, as well as play android games and cloud games, it's truly a viable option to just use a phone and a kishi v2

Everyone has a phone. Just buy a controller and play cloud gaming on your phone. Simple. Why waste money?

I guess I just don't think games on mobile are this hardcore. I can do what you can do on my pixel 6a. Throw some emulators on there and boom. If I want to get crazy I'll just hook up a Xbox controller. I just think these phones are a gimmick and highly overpriced.

The screen is not the best imo since it has VERY rounded corners making some content not show up on the side, that and its very underpowered.
I have both i just got the 5g i live away from town i can only get crapy wifi and i could never play with the wifi razer edge no i got the 5g i love it. It works realy good
If you have realy good and fast internet go with the wifi model
But if you dont have good internet and you want to take it with you on trips and what not go with the 5g monthly plan is $20 im not sure if they have other plans they might.
Why get this when you can use your phone and attach a controller like Backbone for so much less. I have the Backbone PlayStation edition and can play PS Remote and Xbox Game Pass as well as Steam remotely. I personally don’t see any value or use for this Razr Edge.
It's a gaming phone like device. It's also much cheaper than other products. Picked up one refurbished on Amazon for $240 on sale

Why don't you tell them they are wasting their money? Instead of pushing something you yourself probably thinks is going to fail.
I'll just stick to using my Razer Kishi V2 or Backbone with my S22 Ultra for Xbox Cloud, or my Asus Rogue Laptop instead. This is a waste of money.

I’m curious why there are fans and all this other stuff when it’s just a cloud gaming device. My iPhone 14 plays games fine on the cloud and downloaded games. You can connect a controller to any phone. I’m just curious why this exists and why it’s made to look like its got an RTX in it or something. You don’t need a cooling system to cloud game.

I bought the 5g version with the highest tier plan to replace using steamlink with my iPhone. My iPhones carrier is AT&T and it has always played steamlink flawlessly for some reason on the edge even when I’m getting 950mbs speed tests steamlink is throttled so bad it’s unplayable. It always has the slow connection icon in the corner as well. I have no idea what to do.
Mobile gaming is a sad joke idk why people buy it to later on use a controller to play games and spend like $300-$400 in total knowing they can get a steam deck for $100/200 more for triple the performance, play AAA games, and most important you have MOBILITY to take it everywhere like your phone 🤦♂️

RETURN IT! I returned all 3 of mine. It was pathetically slow and it is just a 6gb tablet with a launcher on it. I am using my OnePlus 9 pro with 12gb of RAM to play steam. This was an absolute joke. Makes me regret my laptop purchase from them
