    Don’t you have to calculate the friction in the system before you’re sure it would run for more than a cycle or two?

    I recommend viewers read the Wikipedia page on "Conservative forces". In short it means that any gravity based free energy machine that returns to a previous position cannot do work. More importantly this is independent of the path taken. It doesn't matter if it performs gyration within gyration.. If it ever returns to a previous position it cannot do work. This effectively rules out any rotating machine. They return to a previous position once per revolution at least.
    The same applies to machines based on magnets. This rules out any permanent magnet based machine and all combinations of "shields". If it ever returns to a previous position it cannot do work.

      Scientists ignore their own laws of science. Conservation of angular momentum allows for linear momentum to be conserved as angular momentum.
