Whatsup dude. Great find. And great property you have out there. Can't wait to see the finished product. This is Art from Florida. Friend with Steve from Beast Off-Road.
Very cool guys ! Congratulations Steph on your new to you Bronco. I see one heck of a lot of videos coming out on the build and I can't wait. I love my Jeeps however old Broncos are my second love. Take care guys and catch you on your next video.
Steph is elated. I, myself, have never been much of a bronco person, but this generation of bronco really speaks to me in a lot of ways. I am really excited to work on this with her and see it come to life.
WOW! Another member to the family. Just keeps growing and growing. 😁 Good luck on the restoration. Just got the t-shirt and cuzzie that I ordered a few weeks ago. Cool stuff!
I will check out SoCal broncos! It would be really cool to meet some other 1st GEN bronco owners to get some ideas and feedback on the direction we take with this project.
Thank you!! For the viewers who aren’t early bronco fans, 10K seems like a crazy amount of money for a project vehicle. For the viewers who know how valuable these things have become, 10K is a great deal for a running and driving early bronco.
Having just completed a frame-off restoration of an early bronco I can tell you that IMHO you've got enough rust to justify a new tub from one of the many vendors - some are on CA. It'll save hundreds of hours of labor and probably break even financially. I've seen new tubs sell for $10k to $15k.
Yeah, we talked about that, and Steph really wants the bronco to be more of a Sunday driver. They’re so rare and expensive that beating it up would be a crime. That said, these things are super stout and capable. We’ll definitely make some unique content with it!
Hahaha! I love the fact that she had her own I retests outside of my dumb jeeps. It keeps things interesting! Also, if you compare a CJ to an early Bronco they are so different. Broncos are built like tanks!
The only bronco I’ve ever owned was a 1978 and they are really big. The first generation broncos are the perfect size and that have such a cool style to them. I’m really excited to have one in the driveway and I’m really looking forward to working with Steph to get it up and going as quickly as possible
Your on the west coast and you buy a rustbelt 50 yr old 4x4, that's not the way to do it. That Bronco may bring $3500 here in the deep south if the drive train is useable but the tub isn't worth the effort. Blow it apart, blast the frame and rebuild everything but find another tub. Neil Young said it best...Rust never sleeps
Dude… Check the prices of these things. If you find one on marketplace in this condition for $3500, I will come get it tomorrow. Feel free to share the links right here in the comments because I don’t believe those exist.
@@CRAWLTV You have to be willing to drive, yes fixed they bring good money but that's a parts truck, one of my friends has 3 sitting next to his shop in the condition of yours and its for parts, This is a guy that has sold them in the 30 - 50k range so yes I know what they can bring. please get to working on the tub I cant wait to see the videos. Remember you cant polish a Turd Beavis. Not hating on you guys I'm just speaking from 50+ years of working on rusty crap.
They’re not cheap! 15K for a body these days. If this was a full resto we would consider finding something but we’re just fixing what needs fixing and enjoying it.
Honestly, if that was within our budget that would be 100% the right way to go about this. Instead, we’re going to put in the work, sharpen our skills, and learn some things along the way with the tub we have. At the end of the day, Steph wants a nice driver and not necessarily a show vehicle, so we can live with some level of imperfection on this one.
I couldn’t agree more! Steph is so willing to tear into it and get started with just a little bit of direction from me, so I think she will make relatively quick work of the finer details and I will just step in to replace the bigger panels and do some of the more labor-intensive stuff

Hey man!! Thank you! We had to really jump on this one! I’ll keep the updates rolling out!

@@CRAWLTV It's going to be an awesome build for sure.

That’s great! We’re actually still waiting on ours!! Haha. Steph is over the moon about this Bronco though! She’s been working hard on it already.
What a fun rig!! Congrats Steph!! 🎉
Thanks Paul! She’s so excited about it!
Congrats, Steph! 😀🤙🏾
Thanks Walter! Steph is pumped!
What engine is in it. My uncle had a red one. Not sure what year
It has a 5.0L V8 which I believe is the original, factory motor
Just a thought, get it running driving and have some fun before taking it apart for years. Big Bear Bronco Bash is June 7 -8.
We’ve already torn into it. Can we bring our 6th Gen bronco out to that though?
@@CRAWLTV yes, there were a lot last year.
@@CRAWLTV Majestic Moose is the headquarters. Socal broncos is the club.

Thank you!!
Dude! Nice find on the Bronco

It's to bad you won't be able to get it done before the Rubicon but I do see a comparison video in your future.

Yay!!! I'm so happy for Steph!! Screw all those jeep guys! Lol I mean... y'all cool too.

@@CRAWLTV now you need someone with an old Scout 80 or 800 to throw in there. Lol
Is that my next calling? 🫣🤣
@@CRAWLTV I think so! Lol
I love that gen of Bronco.

Ugh. NEED that trailer!!!!!
It’s so good. I have used it SO much haha

I genuinely disagree with you on this, but agree to disagree. I’ll share how we fix this and get it back on the road as a $40K vehicle.
Aqualu aluminum tub
You might be better off pricing out a new body for it, so many option out there now.
They’re not cheap! 15K for a body these days. If this was a full resto we would consider finding something but we’re just fixing what needs fixing and enjoying it.
@@CRAWLTV no they are not cheap, but that body looks pretty rough and the deeper you go, the more you’ll find
Just go buy a tub from Dennis carpenter it’ll be cheaper in the long run as apposed to replacing all the panels that need replacing

Yeah but that’s a lot of work to do all that panel repair.
I have a 1970 bronco, had for 31 years now
Its worth the busted knuckles ❤❤

Dont like the wheels and tires???? That's it. I'm unsubscribing HAHAHAHAH
HAHAHAHAHA. I put them on the CJ7 and my heart skipped a beat
