Gotta love an Emperor who doesn't have an authentic thought in his brain and can't make a decision about anything until YuHu (or Ruyi) remind him of some tradition, some ritual, some ancestral code of conduct or, in their gentle nudging ways, make a comment that is more like a recommendation/problem resolution that he can grab onto and suddenly he's a genius for whatever decree he sends out. Both women are too underrated and underappreciated, and let's not forget how amazing their memories are to be able to cover his incompetent fanny every single time: with YuHu, her loyalty to him and the court is without question, yet she seems to have eyes all around and inside every single palace at all times. There isn't anything she doesn't know, doesn't hear, or can't link together. Both Ruyi and YuHu make this moron look brilliant.
