  • Here I am loading on my new apex 10 core after dealing with a warranty claim. The new core and priming system is working great. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

    I’m happy your system is working well. I’m so sick of mine. I’ve spent three weeks now (up to 6 hours a day) and I’ve had nothing but problems. I have the priming issue, I have a friction problem, I’ve had an alignment/timing problem, all of which result in powder spillage and the need to clean the whole thing. I’ve tried hold-down dies, sizing dies, body dies and swage feet above various stations, in various orders. Today’s issue is that the detent ball will is stuck below the surface and while I can push it down and it feels sprung properly, it will not come back up above level so it can do its job. Oh, and they designed/machined the powder thrower cap so poorly that it was so sharp that it sliced open my finger. THIS PRESS IS NOT READY FOR THE MARKET.

    Great video. Can you give a brief update after a year of using the Apex 19, still running well? Any other issues?
    Im in the market to upgrade from a dillon 650 and the Apex looks pretty sweet.
    Cheers

      @@zachw8470 Hey my press is working amazing. Would highly recommend it. The weak link is the primer express which I have figured out pretty well and I should make a tutorial video. Consider subscribing and I will make an update video for you

    Give it time! The priming system will end your cheer in due time along with ordering parts!

    Interested as to what changed on your latest priming system vs the previous one..........if you know? Did M7 discuss what was found and what they fixed/updated? Thanks!

      I believe the press core was incorrectly machined / out of alignment. They replaced the press core and over never had a problem since.

    Do you reload once fired ammos or it’s all fresh cases?
    Do you use the trimmer before hand?

    • @IPSCMAT
      @IPSCMAT  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I all used brass. Some are used many times without issue. No need to trim pistol brass

    Is it possible to process 223 brass including trim AND load in one pass?

    • @IPSCMAT
      @IPSCMAT  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't believe so. But I'm not a rifle guy. Never loaded .223. there's 10 stations so you can do alot although I believe the trimming would have to be done before the powder drop and I'm not sure if there is room. Send Mark 7 an email

    Too bad you had issues, but now it look like its running great !!! I hear this is the best progressive loader on the market today.

    • @RealMrSmit
      @RealMrSmit ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends how you define “best”
      For me the “best” progressive press until now was the Lee ABLP.
      I can load ammunition of exceptional quality with little effort on it, plus minus 500 an hour. Now given the cost of the press and virtually no problems(the Lee safety prime being the drawback with one flipped primer every 100, at least I see it before I prime the case) it is the best for me.
      I think Dillon and this apex 10 are better in the term of output and function. But with that comes more complexity, thus more things that can go wrong. Now if you are willing to pay more and need higher output, the convenience of a powder check in place of you visually checking, and so on then it may be better.
      But every progressive needs some tinkering and fixes. There’s a video of a guy flexing his Dillon with auto drive and that thing gave more problems than completed cartridges. That machine would drive me crazy.

    Does your powder Check spill powder?
    I have double Alfa powder check and it spills powder like crazy on 9mm.
    Anny one has the same problem?

      No my powder check does not spill powder, I am using an RCBS lockout die.

    this is why its not worth spending thousands of dollars ona a press my hornady works great and who the hell needs to load that many anyway, if u do it only means u waste bullets and sucks at shooting.
