Yes, it is very common to have the tape stuck to the lace. Very few clients have the desire to replace the front tape. They can teach you to change the tape, but if they can do a top of the head bond that will last every two weeks you will like it better.
I got the hair system from National Hair Center. I love it, The hair system is bonded with a type of glue. However, I have oily skin, so after working out I am really sweating. So they recommended having tape just on the crown, so I could lift it and use rubbing alcohol to sterilize and clean that area. So I only replace the tape on the crown for that specific reason. Of course, it is up to me, and I could ask them to pre-bond the front with glue also.
It depends on which program you choose. Our average client takes a new system every 3 months and has service every 3 weeks. Depending on the size of the base and the length of hair determines the price. If the base size is just top of head and the hair length is 6 inches or less that client would spend approximately $3,300.00 a year.

Yes, Zimmermans in Phoenix. They are closed until Tuesday, which is why I am on the internet seeking advice. I was given a spray to loosen the tape, and it came off my skin easily, but then I had a hell of a time getting the old tape off the lace.I am thinking this is not going to work for me because I needed a friend to help me do the operation (getting old tape off/new tape lined up in front). They expect this kind of work? Think I'll tell them to glue it down in front. Thanks.
Are you going to Zimmerman's? If so have them try the Geo tape and do you service every 2 weeks. Don't get me wrong the glue is great, but if your working out a lot you need service more often. You will probably need a system more often but changing the tape to the lace every other day is going to damage it more.

I will take your recommendations to them. Tell me, is it normal to have the old tape attached to the lace, requiring tedious work to remove it before applying new tape? I thought maybe I did something wrong. I had my new hair Friday, then on Saturday was to come back with questions. I did. However, that did not give me time to experience changing the tape (since "no exercise, no nothing" for at least 24 hours is the rule upon getting the hairpiece).
Another strategy I have thought about is showing a woman all the famous celebrities and stars who have hair pieces. There are numerous websites that have candid pictures of famous stars today without their hair pieces (which is kind of a shock, even to me) and how they look with the hair piece. This psychologically would let the woman know that this is rather common, but if the hair piece is good you would never know. So how many guys out there are wearing? You have no idea.

If the tape is removed with mineral spirits or citric solvent it shouldn't distort the base. Just soak it for several minutes and the tape will come off easily.
I'd prefer more frequent visits for maintenance by a professional than having me monkeying around on my own with tape. If I was wealthy and had a personal valet perhaps it would make sense, but this is really tedious. As noted, I had to call in a friend to help and we both found it a frustrating situation. The hair itself is gorgeous beyond all expectations, and "the ladies" have been returning glances again, like in my teens.

Who did you buy from? They should have given you instructions. If it was done the way we do the process you shouldn't have to change any tape. Our system is a total bond, therefore you should have only been instructed how shampoo and condition properly.
I have been a client of Apollo for 26 years. My hair systems are somewhat like this. I wear a system for about 4 weeks, go in for a shampoo, trim and I switch to my second system. 4 weeks and I switch back. 2 systems will last me about 1 year and they need to be replaced. Randy, how much are your systems?
I wished I lived there, I would be sure to come visit you! My hair looks so bad. I have genetic balding and oh my Ive teased and fluffed and blow dried and saved hair from my brushes to stick in my hair and hair spray it on my head. btw. . im a guy!

My whole life is not wrapped up in my looks. But when you lose your hair at a young age, it can be devastating, especially when your hair (in my case I had straw blonde thick hair) was really beautiful. Again, this is a situation where you have to be in someone's shoes before you can really comment meaningfully about this. If you wish to go to dance clubs with a banana taped to your leg, that's fine with me. Happily, I don't need to supplement in that area. LOL

I would assume in my case that I would tell the woman long before an engagement. In fact, I suspect men tell women very early in the relationship. In my experience, sex often involves the woman putting her hands through my hair. At that point, she would feel the underlying foundation (known as "lace) that holds the hair. So I suspect that this type of "disclosure" is made rather early in relationships unless the woman keeps her hands to herself. LOL.

You may feel quite different if it happens to YOU, and you are no longer considered attractive (which I admit was part of my identity as a teen and college guy - people always affirmed I was handsome and so I assumed it was a fact. But that changed when my hair drastically began to thin in my mid 20's). Some guys look really hot bald, but others do not. I do not. I suppose if your front teeth were damaged in an accident, you would "embrace" this instead of having fake implants?
Wen a hair system is done right like this one it can look as natural as if it was his own. Hairpieces procedure and technology have long evolve since 1960 in case you haven't noticed. I honestly think Nick (the client) looks great and I think he must wash himself. Sure beats the swim cap look Lol...

The average client spends around $325 monthly. Some spend a little less and some spend more on the bonding. Daily wear is much less. I will find you someone in SF area.

Genetics is the main cause of hair loss in men and women. Many women suffer from the same Genetic hair loss as men. The first thing that I do before selling someone is to make sure they can afford it. It's expensive and it requires attention. Remember you only see the bad work, you never see the good work.

honestly being bald sucks and especially at a young age. Im 22 and completely bald. It has lead me to have no social life and a very low self esteem. I cant even apply for jobs without feeling uncomfortable. And girls my age want to live it up and be with good looking guys before they get older. girls are looking for physical attraction during young age. and older age women are looking for a guy with money. which i dont have.

My method of disclosure would be to have a photo album already prepared that showed me with a full head of hair in college, then how the hair thinned and vanished, followed by a full head of hair again. If this grossed the woman out, then she could leave and no hard feelings. But if I was attracted to a woman and loved her breasts, finding out later they were a product of plastic surgury, would that turn me off? No. They still would look and feel great, right?

Im 30 and have been going bald since I was 20 I know what its like to have the media and people like you telling us that because your bald women wont find you attractive, you can have more success and make more money if you have a full head of hair and you must have low confidence if your balding. None of these have to be true. A woman losing her hair is a different story but gluing a slab of sod to your hair is laughable. And im not the one hiding underneath anything pal lol
Man up. Do you really want to be with a woman that doesn't love you for who are. If that drives her away then your better off without her. What about the next morning when all her war paint wears off you still going to want her. Relationships are about respecting each others baggage and believe me we all have baggage.
