      @@samahamara8543 It all depends on what the guy (or girl) likes. I find her hot because she has the physical attributes I prefer in a woman, but that's only superficial because I've never talked to her so who knows if I hate her personality off camera outside of that celebrity role model persona she has to put out for everyone. Now, do I care that she is "smart" ? Not really.

      *Society* ,in these days, *is disgusting.*
      Because nowadays it doesn't matter what the people are saying. Only the appearance matters.
      I have seen another interview about her where she used the time talking about very serious problems, like racism, discrimination and gender equality.
      And almost all the comments were about how pretty she looks. Only a few people cared what she was saying, all the other comments were about her look.

      I guess longer hair maybe make her younger???
      I mean she always looks that young, but with short hair and sexy clothes, it made her look more mature i think.
      I love her in sweet natural style better, like in that vid!!!! 💕

    I really truly hate all the comments about how old she looks. Its demeaning to tell 29 year olds they look 18 because it tells you that you SHOULD look like a teen. She's almost 30 and she looks great because many 30 year olds do.

    • @seventhsheaven
      @seventhsheaven 5 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Right? I’m 31 and frequently get mistake for being in my late teens, early twenties. The only reason people might look “old” at my age is if they’ve smoked a lot, drunk a lot or spent too much time in the sun without proper protection. I think not having kids also helps, definitely keeps you looking young, lol.

      Jo Sephine Imagine that the societal norm was to compliment women that they look like men. Because men are seen as superior. You're being complimented on something you are not, because Society thinks its better to be something you're not.
      Or maybe this example: Hey darlin' you look mighty swell in that skirt. Finally a broad that doesn't talk too much and looks pretty. WHAT ITS A COMPLIMENT! Can't even compliment women anymore.
      If you still don't get it, it's because you choose not to. But you're allowed to keep your opinion and I'll keep mine.

    She has made so much money from the Harry Potter series that she don't really have to work so hard for jobs in the acting world. She can focus more on other things that make her happy. She's like Mark Hamill who also don't have to work a day after Star Wars after the money he made from the movies, merch royalties and others. Hermione is Emma Watson's "live-forever" character. I love her. So much.

    I had never heard about the little women story or book. Not something I have ever known in the Netherlands. Nice that most countries love it and find it a “big thing”
    For me I REALLY enjoyed the movie “just” as a movie because I don’t have any other emotions or recognition around it. The acting is great and it was beautiful emotional in some parts. Very touching. Thanks. X

      Emma Bassett wow calm down. It’s a valid criticism, especially since she is an actress and learning to do accents is a big part of her craft.

    • @jem4758
      @jem4758 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm pretty sure this was deliberate. Little Women is set in the 1800s - people didn't arrive in America with fully formed modern-day American accents. A lot of the actors in the movie use a transatlantic-style accent because that's probably how a lot of Americans sounded back then.

    I didnt want to watch the movie with Emma Watson in it because I wasnt a fan of the changes they made to the live action Beauty and the Beast, but from the clips alone and this video I think it might be worth watching because I realize now that even if I didnt like one movie she played in that doesnt mean she isnt a good actress and I should give her more credit for how much work she puts into her characters which is something I can appreciate

    • @BrianPenny

      This is a great way to look at things and a conclusion I came to as well. I spent last month attending shows I didn’t particularly enjoy from people whom I know worked hard. It was kinda fun to go into it looking for the great life lessons in arguably bad art. Everything has meaning, and you can sometimes appreciate the effort even when the outcome isn’t what you would’ve hoped

    I just hope this movie hasn't crossed stories like the first one did which I still love but still...
    Beth just got sick and lived in Little Woman and died in Jo's Boys (IIRC) so I hope that doesn't happen with this one when the first book has enough in it to make a full 1 and a half to two hour film.

    • @xxxxLillian
      @xxxxLillian 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Beth doesn't die in "Jo's Boys". It happens in the second part of Little Women/the second volume "Good Wives". (Some editions combine these two, some don't)

    • @Forgotten_Lore
      @Forgotten_Lore 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@xxxxLillian Good Wives! That's it! I knew it was one of the other books in the series but I couldn't remember what one.
      And that's still basically two different books so hence Beth still doesn't die in Little Woman so it shouldn't have been part of the first movies plot.

    I love her but I don't agree with what she saying about how woman's roles are usually just to serve the lead male in the movie. That's pretty much bullshit in this day and age. I can list a thousand different movies and shows built around a strong female lead.

    • @TheTrekkieMonster
      @TheTrekkieMonster 5 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      There have also been many novels written by women and about women for some time now. In fact, I have read many of these types of novels (I’m a literature major) and let me tell you, a lot of these female authors are absolutely brilliant! It isn’t a new concept!! No one should be looking to equalize the number of men written about versus the number of women. Art is art, a story is a story. That should be the focus! :)

    • @sfnerd2023
      @sfnerd2023 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      TheTrekkieMonster why should we be counting in the first place? That isn’t the point of literature and film. Art is art; it shouldn’t worry about carefully and equally representing males and females in their stories. That would ruin the point of it altogether. What matters more is the story’s intention, the complexity of the plot, the nuanced dynamics of the individuals, etc. I have read many works by brilliant female writers! And have fallen in love with very complex lead female characters as well (that are written by both men and women).
