I think this was exactly the way projection cleanup was explained to me when I first started. 5 min explanation now get to it, great stuff. loving these quick tutorials. Maybe a reconcile 3D one, I use that to get a quick 2D track out of something that was camera tracked. I also think these quick tuts are good for the flame guys out there who are trying to get their heads around nuke. Cheers Hugo!
N how we will remove the guy when he is passing through car? Cuz there are people movie infront of him? Will we still use projection or something else?
I really appreciate your time and effort you spend on making these videos. I follow your channel religiously :) You have "unstuck" me many times while been on a project. Thank you Hugo!
+Michalis Gkiokas Thanks so much for the kind words. I will try my best to keep it up every week. Hard sometimes since I have a full time job. But I will keep it up. Thanks
I love the very short format of those tutorials. Most often all you need is just a hint at how it's done. I use the same technique very often. Where I have trouble is whe the background isn't just a nice flat wall but something more complex.
Cool. I'm planning on doing some plate clean up shots for practise and for my reel. I've done projection with stills but not video so this was helpful.

Oh please! How it was made? This slow motion effect? Do you have making off or breakdown? Or may be you can create tutorial how to do this slow mo effect?))))
friend you helped me a lot. but sometimes my ass become red in parallax shots if you have time please make cleanup tutorial in parallax shot and in some shot i get lightning shots which i have to grade each frame to match the colour for the plate if you have any trick please share with us
I always have trouble turning off my patches once I don't need them anymore without ghosting effects happening. I can't just leave the patch there all the time right? U gotta keep as much as the original as possible?? I wish there was a tutorial on how to do that well... It's always a bit of a struggle for me. I can remove the thing, hut removing it without altering the plate much is way harder
Sorry but this footage is from The Mill. I can't give it away like that. I do have some professional plates available every month on my Patreon. Thanks www.patreon.com/join/hugosdesk/
+Daniel Miller Well I assumed people understand that needs to be done. And yes I do take them from a undistorted plate, I rendered all plates of the film like that. Did not mention it in the video. Only 5 min. I can make a note in top. It's a good point since some people may not know that. Thanks for the comment.
Yes I sent this video to a junior artist and then just noticed this difference in the workflow. More than not mentioning it was the fact you didn't hook the patch to the undistor in your node graph. Thanks for these videos though they are very useful - short tutorials are definitely the best way to go.
hahah i thought all ur videos are usually 5min. but ive through alot of ur videos and i must say am learning alot, am like 1week old in nuke but yeah am catching fast.. thanks
I liked your genuine disclaimer, your videos are straight to the point

So great to see you sharing all of this. So clear, nothing missing, I'm waiting for the next one, as always. Thanks Hugo

Why add a frame hold on the projection camera
Hey Hugo can you please explain in short the technique of shooting and executing this shot?
I didn't know you could frame hold a camera I always delete animation on specific frame xD

Well, I can't do that. This is a production shot. You can use this video to learn and use it in your own shots. Thnaks
Don't you want to take your frameholds from your undistorted plate?
