    24:50 I’m only halfway thru the video, unfortunately my brain exploded from the vpm (value per minute) ratio. This is undeniably…the single greatest worm video I’ve ever watched & Ive watched them ALL! Capt Matt this has zero affect on the worm crown. You will always be Worm King in my eyes! But it’s hard deny what I’ve stumbled upon here. Worm people across the world have been watching with a dropped jaw from the moment he said “just cardboard”. Huh? I felt my jet propellers ignite. And I’m old (ish) I haven’t had jet propellers since the early 90’s when I enlisted in the military. This is incredible stuff. I feel like I just robbed this family bc the knowledge they’ve parted with will be #LifeChanging for tens of thousands of people-even millions if people were inclined to take advantage of it.
    Thank you Capt Matt & God bless you & your famteam & David & Renee at #DirtyWormComposting for sharing & for caring. Selfish people don’t do this. So thank you guys for your selflessness when it comes to Gods brilliant little worm soldiers!

      @victorybase5847 I concur with everything you said, such wonderful knowledge.
      I also make my own precompost cardboard as well. I learned that from Jane at Rockinworms.

    I have noticed my back yard turn into an ecosystem, Dragonflies, praying mantis, ladybugs, asian lady beetles, golden rod soldier beatles, tachinid flies, all types of spiders snakes frogs toads and birds. Once that soil comes to life its like everything knows and wants to be there.

    Please redo the audio. I am old and wearing hearing aids so the issues with the audio are exacerbated. I can't understand what you are saying but I really want to. I have the subtitles on and that helps but I find that many of the most important words are not translated into the subtitles with clarity so I don't know what they are.

    I have a question about my worms that I hope you can answer. I have a bed that is 48x48x24 deep that is on the ground made with 3 cinder blocks high, and has a weed fabric bottom in it. My original bedding was peat, straw, leaves, etc... I added 1000 each of reds and n.crawlers. I mainly use this for raising fishing worms, and no other uses. I feed them constantly and they eat as much as I can feed them. My worms don't seem to multiply nor get any larger than about 2 inches in length. I do not use that many for fishing and figure out why they don't get bigger. Do you have any answers for this?

      Worms like carbs and sugars. Grains and fruit and molasses will get them chunky.

      I think he said from the Dollar Stores. Our experience has been appliance stores are great to work with because you get larger boxes without a lot of stickers that have to be removed. Just watch out for overly thick-walled boxes. They don't shred well.

    I have tried to start a worm bin so many times. The first was strangely the only successful one. All the others just had the worms disappearing. There were the toads and lizards (covered but somehow they slipped through), once where they all mysteriously died (bodies were disintegrated/mushy, easily separated) and then two where they just mysteriously kept dwindling in numbers. I've done a lot of research but to this day we don't know what happened to those 3 instances. Worms aren't cheap where we are too.

      I am having the same problem. Where the worms are deformed and just turning to mush. I cant figure out what im doing wrong

    • @Norbingel
      @Norbingel 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jeffmiller2434 One of the theories I had was the plastic container I had them in. But I used 3 different types, 1 that used to contain paint, 2 that were cheap and smelled plasticky when new, and 1 that was a food-safe bucket. The most successful one was the paint bucket and the one where worms turned to mush was the food-safe one!

    Is there a difference between African Nightcrawlers and European Nightcrawlers? If so, what is the difference?

    • @brisbees3729
      @brisbees3729 หลายเดือนก่อน

      African night crawlers are invasive and you'll need to make sure you keep them contained so they do not inhibit the indigenous worms.
