Dave hit the nail on the head. If you open the show with a cliffhanger, logic dictates that you will get some kind of answer by the end of the show.
The opening segment should set the stage for the next two hours, then if you end on a cliffhanger, that creates intrigue for the next episode.

THAT was a takeover? It looked more to me like a start of a rivalry, then they piledrived T.K. then nothing ever gets followed up or anything ever happens regarding that again after that. It was literally nothing lol. IMO.

We still have no idea how this is going to manifest. If this in anyway has Shane McMahon involved I will definitely be interested to see what happens. The mere involvement of Shane makes this very different from anything EVPs related, for obvious reasons.
If it is Shane I would hold off the reveal until Worlds End. I could see Dijak and Miro being part of this faction

PAC has been the number one contendor for a shot at the title for about a month or more. So that's been mentioned a few times, not surprise there. The BCC trio needs to be re-established. Bryan and Moxley have been distanced from the faction for a while, but its never been explicitly mentioned, agree onthat front.
Tony wanted death triangle (The lucha Bros & Pac) to win the trios belts at wembley, but bc the lucha bros wanna job with Andrade in WWE They had to call an audible.. far as pac ospreay they are wrestling at all out for the International title pac was taking on the MJF Ospreay winner at wembley

Bryan has always been in and out with BCC. even back when BCC was hot. Claudio and Yuta are trios champs with Pac because Lucha Bros wanted to leave AEW and go to WWE (they were originally going to win the match) , and PAC is going after Ospreay not only because he's the #1 contender but also because he was part of the original Ricochet/Ospreay feud in indies as well as those two. so this is some sort of reunion for them.
I think Sami Callahan and Moxley are doing something a new faction with a nod to their history

The Elite did in fact take the company into their own hands for a long time , i don't know what part of it was "quick and painful death" its still going on... Elite still has multiple advantages over the rest. their fucking Jack Perry is getting pushed to the moon.
and Shane McMahon taking over the company would be even above Elite themselves. not only would he be the power above Elite. he would also be the one to eventually turn Elite babyfaces when the time is right. i believe Elite being part of what Shane wants to do is brilliant, better yet having Elite be the ones who bring him in in the first place. this is such a good move to move away from "everything is Tony Khan's fault" narrative. have Shane McMahon be the face of Management side of things.

The fact that people are asking questions and wondering means he did his job. Theres actual intrigue around an AEW story for the first time in months. He dropped an actual hint, rather than a ham handed delivery of what the storyline was gonna be like most people do when they foreshadow. A good wrestling storyline should have hooks like this, make you want to know what's gonna happen next, and give you a real compelling reason to tune in next week, something that has been woefully missing from AEW for about a year now.
The song thing I think is just because the AEW coffers aren't as deep as they used to be, I've noticed they've been cutting back on some people's licensed theme musics, especially around the times when Danielson uses Final Countdown, because that song is expensive, and they aren't bringing in the money they used to, lets be real, so they can't splurge on songs like Wild Thing or Jane. Plus, it brings in AEW and NJPW characters in line more than likely.
In general, I could see this being a setup for a feud with The Elite.
It seems like Moxley has broken away from the BCC and is building a new group. He said he wanted to talk to Darby, he never said he wanted to fight him, he might be trying to recruit him.
Shane tells Bryan that if he wants his title, he can take it. He tells Bryan he doesn't want that title, he wants respect, and he wants to change the course of wrestling history with AEW. Out comes Paul Wight, and Mark Henry. Daniel stands his ground while they approach the ring. Shane tells them both to relax.
I def like Tommy’s perspective. I think Dave takes this just a tad bit too serious haha 🤣
Wrestling pundits/fans are so dumb compared to literally any other form of entertainment. Schiavone sends messages via Khan every single week during promos or on commentary. "OMG why is he talking cryptic to Schiavone during a cryptic promo?1"

I like the confusion. I feel like this could be like a "They're Coming" tna storyline or feels like maybe an invasion/ nwo type story line. In all of those stories, confusion was apart of the shock factor. "They're coming" story was one of the best stories I ever watched in pro wrestling I remeber it being so so good
What I want to know is why Darby Allen is involved.
It's awesome to see the difference in reviewing something vague or unclear when they're liked by the speaker vs disliked. Is it aimless, a waste of time, leaves everyone confused, or is it brilliantly getting fans to speculate and building excitement? Well, do you like the person who did it and the show they're on or not?
Could Moxley have been saying it to who was listening....the fans? Saying it's not their company anymore and AEW is finally getting the point that pro-wrestling needs to be sport's entertainment in order to be financially successful. Storylines matter to an episodic program. 🤷🏻♂️

He'd stop being a big deal the second he came out, because people like the absurdity of the idea, they don't actually want to see it happen, because they'd immediately remember "Oh yeah, remember when he blew his leg out trying to wrestle a real match despite being old? And that one time he wanted to book himself being able to stand toe to toe with Brock Lesnar in the Royal Rumble? Remember Raw Underground?" and without constraints, having to rely on his own hollow wit for ideas, he'd sink in one promo.

Its funny you mention that. I’m friendly with someone related or very close to the USOs and their fam. Long story short pandemic Roman can’t wrestle as Vince doesn’t take proper precautions. AEW films in Jax and Roman lives there’s so Mox stats with him knowing AEWs high procedures on covid. Roman like Heyman hinted before mania was ready to retire as he hated his character in WWE. Through back channels talking to Cody Jon told Roman if he could get out of his deal in WWE he’d be brought into AEW as a monster heel. Jon and Roman are closer of the three as Jon when he started wrestling was in a wrestling promotion WWE once owned in terms of a development promotion had Matt Romans brother and they became good friends. Anyway Roman thought it was a good idea. There was never serious talks but Jon and company basically said we can give you want you want.
Roman told Vince if he didn’t get his shit together he wouldn’t wrestle. Roman backed WWE into a wall and bent Vince backwards. Like Mox did prior Roman pulled one over on Vince and like they say the rest is history.
Thank the pandemic and Roman threatening to leave for The Bloodline. Roman also personally asked for Heyman to be a part of it.

Back in the ring I would have Drew Gulak sitting there with none other than former WWE star Sanga. However, in the ring there would be banners, and pictures of none other than Daniel Garcia. Gulak is puzzled because he heard that Daniel Garcia thinks he is a great wrestler. Again, Gulak is shocked, because he tells Garcia he hasn't wrestled him, Gulak. This on-air harassment should go on for weeks. We come to find out the reason Garcia doesn't shut him, is due to Gulak getting special treatment from Tony. Garcia is banned from the ring while Gulak speaks. Or he faces termination for interfering with Gulak's freedom of speech.

Shane starts to talk, says some fourth wall type stuff, and then moves onto storyline. Then, Bryan Danielson's music hits. Interrupts Shane McMahon. Basically, tells Shane he already knows why Shane is here, he wants the AEW title. Bryan says he won't let the McMahon name tarnish this legacy of this belt. Shane laughs that off and says his name would give the belt real credibility. Blah blah blah.
It was an ok spot but had moxley been talking to the right Tony aka Khan about it, it would have been better

Come back from commercial break and we see Shane leaving the arena with Henry and Wight in a limousine. We watch as Tony Khan follows but arrives too late. They're already off premises. He turns around and is met with none other than Jinder Mahal, or whatever his new name will be. He stands there puzzled and Jinder tells him they have business to attend to, right? Camera goes to ring.
Also i saw Mrs McMahon with a contract with WWE to Jon Moxley what that all about.

This has the potential to be very different and to really build up AEW Home Grown's like Darby Allin.
I think moxley's going to go after Brian Danielson, and he's saying it's not WWE or WCW anymore it's aew and he's not Dean Ambrose, and it's not Brian Danielson Daniel Bryan's company, I really think that that's going to be the feud that might end the career of Brian Danielson. I don't know but maybe. And this could be a shot at Shane McMahon too if they bring him in as a feud where he attacks Shane McMahon, I don't want to get too much weight of what I would think because I don't want to put it out there and it happened and then be a let down, I think it could be said he's talking about Bryan Danielson.
