We spend half the game going for Walker, yet he caves and we never see him again. The doctor is more of a whiny bitch than anything else, especially a so called good symbolizing character of a ''good hearted pacifist who can beat the North Koreans with love''. I mean he says, ''there are better ways to fight,'' yet he reveals none of them. the only purpose the doc serves is to be a whiny character. Dana was a typical badass female character that they made so tough that it was awkward and even served to make the North Koreans look good at points with their treatment of people. So we have two normal social justice warrior aspects. The pacifist and the feminist down. We also have a two dimensional character as our player who never speaks. Kind of annoying in a story driven game like this. Also, Silicon river? In order to have something like that you need capitalism and entrepreneurs. North Korea is communist, despite the games subtle attempt to say it's capitalist now, and lacks entrepreneurs so a huge plot line right there. Even if that did happen, the United States suddenly becoming a pariah around the world while North Korea ascends to god status and then later invades with world acclaim is completely implausible. Not saying that America hasn't done bad things or that people don't like us but it's impossible to assume that everyone forgets North Korea's obscene human rights record and sides with them for an invasion of the mainland united states. The sad fact is that the writers thought, well we can cover up this huge geo political plot line by writing in Bush and McCain as having sixteen years of control. Yeah, sorry. doesn't work like that barely hiding it biased writers of homefront. The ending was cliché and expected. The other characters as two dimensional as the player. The opening strange. The graphics were nowhere near adequate as the fifteen second wait after every objective quickly got tedious. I regret this game completely. I thought it would be nice to play a game about patriotism and love of country, with complex themes explored such as sacrifice and fighting for what's yours. Unfortunately for that I have to go to freedom fighter and turning point fall of liberty to get that.

lots of glitches. game freezes for 5 to 10 seconds after each autosave which can get VERY annoying. But if you're patient then I'd say get it. The gameplay is a lot of fun. I had a blast in the red zones.
