Sabina Tsang Perhaps, but the Fomorroh is supposed to consume one’s mind, burning away all essence of who you were. Magic is a part of Merlin, and since he’s not himself, he wouldn’t know that he could easily kill Arthur with it. Maybe it’s just a combination of all of those things, and don’t forget Gaius and Gwen did stop him effectively most of the time or the plans might’ve worked.
