Dear Kartikeyan: This sort of filter would be very good for my, preferred setups, for larger tanks. I have matching, wood stands and canopies for the following sized breeder-tanks: 55 gallon; 75 gallon; and, 120 gallon. At the moment, I have 75 gallon and 120 gallon tanks set up. Eventually, I hope to use my, 55 gallon stand and canopy. I believe I could hide the motor and intake of this, filtration system behind driftwood and the media compartment would be invisible, under the wood canopy. This filter uses a wet-dry, drip-style filtration, which provides loads of oxygen for beneficial bacteria. Bio-wheels on Marineland filters do the same thing, but probably to a lesser extend. Informative video. Well made. QUESTION - In 601T that you have - What's the dimensions(L*B*H) of box separately in which filter material is kept ? (Not with the extendable support/stand) This is for me to compare it with Sobo-1880f, 2880f, 3880f & Venus 601t, 602t & 603t model. Bigger the filter box, more the materials as sponge,ceramic rings etc can be put. Most important aspect of Top Filter but most sites don't provide that detail clearly. Your help will be appreciated. What did you do with the air pipe? I bought one and looked for guides here in yt. Some have a tube at the side of the unit where you could connect th air pipe. Mine doesnt have any.
Hi. That is used for airation purpose. If you have used any internal filter Like Sobo WP 6001 you may have observed air bubbles come out from outlet. Stay tuned.
Guppies are live bearers and breed very fast... Having to many guppies is not a problem, I have also may be more then 200 in this tank. Just keep water quality good and they will be fine.. Stay tuned.. And plz subs to the channel for more updates thanks.

Bro planted setup with this filter. Is it disturbing the plants? And can the fishes able to swim due to high force?
This is good for water circulation in planted tank. Big cichlids will also like filter current. But small fish will be stressed.

Yes, top filter should be kept over the top of aquarium. You can add temporary slab to place top unit.
