    Laura, this card is incredible! FOUR moving parts?? You’re a linkage mechanism master!
    I love the way they all dance on the front of the card! 😍

      Thank you very much! In my circus card there are five moving elements, but I like this one as well and it's a lot easier to make. 😄

    Hi Laura, your interactive cards are so amazing. What size of brads do you use and where can you get those magnetic discs and brads?

    • @Laura_Dovalo
      @Laura_Dovalo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! I don't really know the brand of the brads... they came in a pack, but any small brad works. The magnetic disks that I use are by Basic Grey. I buy them here: www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/BasicGrey-SMALL-MAGNETIC-DISCS-Self-Adhesive-MET359-29912?currency=USD 😄

    Where do you get the brad attachment?

    • @Laura_Dovalo
      @Laura_Dovalo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any small size brad is OK to use. Something like this, for example: www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Art-Impressions-WHITE-BRADS-Pack-of-50-Wiggle-Wobbles-4968-AAI4968?currency=USD

      @@Laura_Dovalo Thank you for the link! I'm going through your interactive cards playlist and heard you mention mini brads. I'm learning so much! Your cards are so awesome! I didn't know some vintage cards had complex interactive features but I can totally imagine it! I'm so excited to try making something like this!

      @@ArtistWizardry Thank you very much, Zarah. 😄 Yes, vintage cards are amazing! It's a pity that there are no tutorials for those. 😁

    I have a question. Why did you use a magnet to attach your Squid? Why can’t we adhere it the same way by punching holes and putting foam tapes ? I haven’t tried this card or technique yet so may be there is a technical reason to it so just wanna know why?

    • @Laura_Dovalo
      @Laura_Dovalo  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the movement was perfectly horizontal, we could cut a groove and attach the squid with a foam dot to the mechanism so that it could move (not a round hole since it has to move sideways) but it isn't. The movement is from left to right but also upwards... Also, even if we could use one of those slider dies that are used to make spinner cards, the surprise factor would be ruined, since a groove is quite visible. I hope it makes sense. 😁

    • @Laura_Dovalo
      @Laura_Dovalo  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Check out this easier slider card with just the rotation, if you want: th-cam.com/video/UvM3dORBQK4/w-d-xo.html 🙂

    • @sweetfrooti
      @sweetfrooti 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Laura Dovalo yes it does makes sense. I guess I have to try this technique to understand it better. You make it look so easy but it overwhelms me to Even think about it let alone make the whole card.. but I will give it a try soon and share pictures.. 😊

    • @Laura_Dovalo
      @Laura_Dovalo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you think about it, the mechanism is not so complicated... just four strips of paper linked together. Go for it and if you get stuck, just let me know! 😊

    • @sweetfrooti
      @sweetfrooti 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Laura Dovalo thank you so much. Will surely try it and share the pictures soon.
