I don't often comment on TH-cam videos, but this is absolutely fantastic. I especially love the video of the of the Orca chasing the barrel. I tip my hat to you sir!
I'd realized seeing this vid that the "Orca" is indeed more wanted than I could ever imaginated, there's such a fan comunity all around the same boat !! This boat was remarkable for everyone !! hahah you eveen put a close up for the barrel chase crossing from left to right, in the 04:09, cool !!
You even included the chum bucket, lol...love it..my fav movie . And I like how you filmed your video on a grey rainy day just like in the movie. I bet like me you know every word coming next in the movie
Not safe to go in the water yet....just realised I used your plans for my tribute to the film. I used in conjunction with your plans 2 further examples, in addition so guidance from a source that had knowledge of the Orca boats used. My tribute, inspired by the film is named Amity, she sails off the east coast whenever time permits....great fun!
Jawesome. 🦈🦈🦈. John Williamson's music for the chugging Orca was perfect. Would love to see someone build a life size replica of the Orca & take it to Martha's Vineyard. With lookalikes of Quint, Chief & Hooper.
What was that one part for next to the cleats? The one that looks like a long steel tube. I've watched the movie and always wondered what that steel plate with the round tube was for next to the cleats.
If i won a lottery i would commission to have the Orca scratch built for real. Then i would move to Martha's Vineyard and offer daily Jaws trips on the rebuilt Orca to the shooting location of the 3rd act. Replete with Narraganset beer, styrofoam cups, and pro fishing rod and chair and whatever the hell meal it was they ate. I am sure I'd get an endless supply of Jaws nuts who'd want that experience
Did you make a fighting chair? I had the identical fighting chair on my Bertram 31. It is a vintage Rock-A-Way made out of very heavy, stainless steel and bronze.. none better
Ah, I see. I live in southern CA. Hopefully there's a model show coming soon to a town near you. I'm sure your Orca would be very tough to compete with.
This is great! For that you get the head, the tail, the whole damn thing.
Out of all Orca models, this by far, is the best I've ever seen.

"Stop playing with yourself, Hooper."

Absolutely remarkable craftsmanship. Well done sir- An enjoyable video. Thanks for sharing that.
I for one really appreciate all the crafting. Great job from another jawsfan
Sheer perfection, well done on a fantastic build. The only Orca model I have seen where the sharks jaws are to scale
LOve the musc theme as the boat is sailing away, departing off the deck !!
Me too! That still gets me hyped when I hear it.

Superb! Deserves way more likes. I was looking for a full-size Jaws boat, and got this.
Can you tell me the other two items on the stern next to the cleats? I always wanted to know what they were in the movie and what their purpose is.
In my opinion, you should add an interior and make the mast smaller. Everything besides that is spot on!
That was a pleasure to watch, chasing the barrel was a master stroke :-)
Well done, especially chasing the barrel.

beyond1957 I would love to know more about the work you did and the information you found
Hello Aidan, Of course we can speak further soon! Paul
I still have all the plans somewhere, I was advised to create a keel to assist the balance with the mast and it worked very well.
What scale is your recreation? And where is a place I could contact you further? Thank you for such a timely response!
Contact, yes I shall think of a way. Scale 1/14 or close.
"Hooper drives the boat, Chief." Story of my life.

Hooper: "That's a twenty footer." Quint: "Twenty five... three tons of 'em".
That's very impressive! Nice job!
