How to Create Gift Canisters from Cardstock and Mason Jar Lids - Craft w/Me - Lots of tips and ideas

- In this video, I’m showing how I easily create these cute canisters that are perfect to fill with goodies and give as gifts, or they make beautiful decor. I made each one from a single piece of printed cardstock and two small mason jar lids. These are lots of fun to make, so grab some supplies, and let’s create!
I will be adding some of these gift canisters to my Etsy shop soon, but I need some time to fill them with goodies. I will post here and on Instagram when those are available.
If you want to try using a legal size cardstock, just make sure you set your printer to legal size paper when you print your digitals on them. I used 130 lb (8 1/2 x 11) cardstock when I made the larger size canister, but the heaviest I could find in legal size was this 110 lb:

You're very welcome 💜
FINALLY _ I have been looking for uses for all my used and discarded Canning Lids and Rings and you have come up with the BEST idea yet!!!! If you can find a cardboard roll or plumbing pipe to wrap the paper around, you can easily put on the glue, wrap it around the tube, then use rubber bands to hold it until it's dry.
Oh I’m so glad you got some ideas! And that’s a great idea to keep the shape while they dry! Thanks so much for being here!💗
So many great ideas! You are so creative. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks so much, Margie! That was my original plan too but we didn’t have any pringles cans when I started this project so that forced me to create them with cardstock! Lol Hope you have fun. Thanks for watching!💗
Ohhhh wow, I love these,,, will definently make some,,, thankyou hun,,,,,,,,,,,warm wishes from LILLE MARIE
I’m excited for you to try them! Thank you so much, Lille. Hugs!❤️
Such a cute idea. I think as a Valentine, filled with wrapped candies and small gifts would be special to anyone. So many themes this could work for. Wondering what papers you were using or if you printed them yourself? Thanks for this tutorial.
Thanks so much! Those are great ideas! The printables I used are from SamPooleDesigns and from SweetPeaCuriosities, and I linked their shops in the description as well as the kits I used. Hope that helps! Thank you for watching!❤️
I think it would be nice toold scissors and sewinb supplies., make the top lid soft , using fabric and use the top for a pin cushion
That’s a great idea! I love it!💗
These are truly beautiful. I can’t wait to try to make some of these. Where did you purchase your candle wax and that wonderful punch you were using that punched the different sizes of circles to add your ribbons and charms? Thank you again for this delightful tutorial ❤
Thanks so much, Debbie! I’m so excited for you to make them. The candle wax I purchased on Amazon and I’ve been trying all day to find which one it was so I can add it to the description… I’ll get back to you soon on that! And it will be in the description in the supply link list too (or something similar to it). The punch is a We R Memory Keepers Crop-a-Dile multi hole punch and here’s a link: www.joann.com/crop-a-dile-multi-punch-aqua/17285644.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxLrM08D5gQMVMwR9Ch0Qcg3TEAQYASABEgLBPPD_BwE
Looks like it’s on sale at Joann’s.
You can also get it on Amazon I see.
Thank you for watching and hope you enjoy creating them!❤️
This is one brand that I have that works well: www.amazon.com/Stakich-Beeswax-Pellets-Natural-Cosmetic/dp/B001LQZOLW/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?crid=2QAYRWDXZHBCB&keywords=white+beeswax+pellets&qid=1697427976&sprefix=white+bees+wax+pelkets%2Caps%2C364&sr=8-2-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1
And here’s another option that looks good too: www.amazon.com/Beeswax-Cosmetic-Friendly-Products-Supplies/dp/B09VXK8FLF/ref=mp_s_a_1_5_maf_1?crid=2QAYRWDXZHBCB&keywords=white+beeswax+pellets&qid=1697427976&sprefix=white+bees+wax+pelkets%2Caps%2C364&sr=8-5
Hope that helps!❤️
Hi Rhonda. I watched this video the other day and got sidetracked before I made a comment. I really enjoyed your tutorial. You made it so easy to follow and the results are so beautiful. Where do you find the gilding wax? If it’s Hobby Lobby, what section of the store. Sometimes I think it’s so hard to locate things in that store. Thanks!
Hi, Linda… thanks so much for your sweet comments and for watching! I ordered the gilding wax on Amazon, and most all of the products I used are linked in the description, if that helps. I use the gilding wax all the time and have barely made a dent in it, so it lasts a long while! Thanks again!😘
@@joyjunktique Thanks, Rhonda. I should have checked out your description box. I’ll have to take a look at what they have. Sometimes I like to add just a little bit of shine. I’ve used gold acrylic paint but it may look like it’s applied heavier. Its good to hear about new products, new to me anyway.
@@lindaspaperworksYour welcome! And it looks like the price has definitely gone up since I purchased them! At least they will last a while!😁
@@joyjunktique Not surprising that the price has gone up-everything else seems to have increased too. Thanks for the information.
How much are those ,?
Hi, there, Lil…
Are you meaning when I put them in my shop to purchase…
If so, I haven’t gotten that far yet, because I still have to fill them with handmade goodies first, and then I’ll be able to price them. I will post here and on Instagram when I get them ready to go in my shop. Hope that answers your question.😊
