- I’ve heard a lot of people restart their diesel engines with starting fluid or ether. Typically I fill up the tank bleed out all the air which is quite a process. Then charge up the battery usually about two times and then eventually get the tractor running again. I always tell myself I will never run out of fuel again. Well it happened again unfortunately, This time I decided to try starting fluid. To my surprise it worked first crank, I’m definitely gonna try it next time. As you can see in the video I didn’t use that much either.
sooo... if you have air in your fuel system... then is your fuel system your air system, and your air system is at that moment your fuel system?
You have no brain
Don't do this. This is relic equipment...AND he did it wrong. Don't do this, this fella doesn't understand some things.
An alternative is spraying diesel into air intake
Wow! Does it work as good, I’m definitely going to try that.
Yes, take some diesel into a spray plastic container like those window cleaner spray bottles and spray into air intake like in the video......it works well
You know, that has worked great for me in the past, but I let a 4610 Ford sit up for 6 weeks and even that won't get it started. It ran fine until now.
I'm about to try one of those electronic cleaning sprays. It smells like damp start but it's mostly hexane and some other stuff. Hope it doesn't do harm. If vegetable oil can run an engine I'm sure it will be ok. What about petrol into a diesel
My friend has a brand new kioti tractor that isn't starting . Checked the relays and it only has 71 hrs on it sprayed some ether in it and it started right up. What's up with that
You brilliant star! It started really easily!
