    Hi Darren ascorbic acid is just the posh name for vitamin C it doesn't prevent fermentation in the concentration found in fruit juices mate
    Carbon dioxide is heavier than air as you say so you can just leave the cap on loose so it doesn't explode no need for balloons 😉

    If you have a warm greenhouse in summer the CO2 will help your plants grow better.

    I had to look up what Ribena was on Wikipeda so what type of Ribena do you use the carbonated or uncarbonated.

      Hi, I used a concentrate fruit juice, not carbonated. Hope that helps

    How did this turn out i just made a orange strawberry and lime vimto 1 on friday its still bubbling away and doesnt look anywhere near finished

      Hi Robert, don't rush to finish it, it could take a week and a half. It won't go off due to the Co2 head in the jar preventing air from getting to it. Mine finished at 6.5%. Yours sound nice keep me posted on how it turned out.

    you need apple juice from concenrate fella ....
    its defo nothing like prison hooch lol
    should of used all that ribena and took out 500ml of AJ.
