    Thank you for your review! I was becoming increasingly indecisive watching different reviews going back and forth not knowing what pack to buy and then stumbled across your review which was like a breath of fresh air. After much deliberation you helped ease my pain and make a decision and have ordered one for myself. Excited to get out and put it to use soon. Thanks again

      Glad the review helped, it's a really comfy pack, you won't regret it! Many thanks for the kind words and for taking the time to watch it and comment 👍

    Nice review, you convinced me. I need something for 7+ day hikes. My Osprey Exos is just not comfortable with 15kgs, which is its limit I believe - so until I’ve consumed some food and brought the weight down the first couple of days are painful on the hip. It has the Airspeed back ventilation etc, similar to the Atmos, and is really comfortable with lighter loads. Very functional

      Thanks for the kind comment 👍...you're right, every backpack has a tipping point where they start to get uncomfortable over a certain weight and can ruin an otherwise enjoyable hike

    I've been using an older version of the Atmos AG50 for a few years now and absolutely love it. I agree that the hip belt pockets are awkward to use and it's a shame that hasn't been addressed in the newer version but small things like that disappear when you put the pack on. The anti-gravity system used is just fantastic at load distribution, so much so you don't believe you are actually carrying the weight you are. The pack huggs your body like a monkey on your back and allows great air circulation to avoid the sweaty back. Since i got it it's been the only pack i use for all year round camping.

      Totally agree! I was recently using my Sierra designs flux capacitor 40 - 60 backpack, which you can open up wide for more volume, but I found that with all my heavier winter camping gear as well as the filming gear, it quickly became to heavy for the pack, whereas I can hardly feel it with the Atmos. Might look at the 50 for my summer hikes, thanks for letting me know you give it a thumbs up and many thanks for watching 👍

    Great Review. you forgot to mention the adjusting straps to pull down the shoulder straps to fit you properly. they are so great and easy to fit your pack properly.

      Yeah, totally forgot to mention them, I don't work to a script so my old fuddled mind often forgets something 😂 but as you say a great comfortable backpack 👍

    Great review. This pack has been on my short list for a long time. My only issue, which to me is a big one, is the side access. The Gregory Baltoro 65 has a full U shape opening for full access to the main compartment. The Osprey Aether also has this feature so I was hoping a 2024 version had it but it does not. Do you ever feel the side access zips to the main compartment could be larger? Will a bear canister fit through? Main compartment access without going through the top of the pack is one feature my next one will have, I just want to be sure the size on the Atmos is sufficient.

    • @WestieTravels
      @WestieTravels  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not sure about the bear cannister, my last pack was the Gregory Z65 which had the large u shaped opening, but to be honest I hardly used it, that's why I went for the Atmos, between the comfort and many compartments for my kit, it's a winner for me. Many thanks for the kind comment 👍

    Any opinion on AG LITE SERIES ..

    • @WestieTravels
      @WestieTravels  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, excellent bag as well, same carry system, just not as many pockets, so very comfortable but lighter than the full Atmos AG bag. My partner just but the female version and absolutely lives it...it's all a question if you need all the extra pockets or not...hope this helps 👍

  • @steb1012
    @steb1012 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    So this is a new 2024 release of the Atmos ag 65, I thought the latest release of this pack was the LT version?

    • @WestieTravels
      @WestieTravels  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You may be right on that one, just putting out my thoughts on the AG pack, I've looked at the LT pack and apart from the carry system the main pack is completely different 👍

    • @MrAndRob
      @MrAndRob 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      The LT is just a lightweight version of this pack
      This is the latest version of the Atmos Ag.....the full fat version
      The LT removes certain features and components

    • @WestieTravels
      @WestieTravels  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yeah, had a look at the LT in the store before I bought the AG, as you say a stripped down version of the AG, many thanks for taking the time to post 👍

    • @steb1012
      @steb1012 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@MrAndRob So there is definitely a new 2024 version of the Atmos AG? I bought one at the end of 2023 and I'm just wondering if there is any changes in functionality or design that's all. I know about the LT, it was on my shortlist.

    • @WestieTravels
      @WestieTravels  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@WestieTravels Yeah, that's what it seems so. 65 liters should be enough though for a 4-5 day trip up a winter mountain, right?

    • @WestieTravels
      @WestieTravels  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @jimsagubigula7337 yeah, should be fine, depending what you take, thanks exactly what I bought it for, check out tha Atmos 65 AG and the LT version, the LT is a more basic version without all the pockets, depends how you like to pack your backpack 👍

    • @jimsagubigula7337
      @jimsagubigula7337 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@WestieTravels I generally try to pack as light as possible because I had some bad experienced in the past with over packing. As for the LT version, I don't know. I like having some spare pockets and somewhere to store my ice axe and trekking poles.
