It worked out so well, huh? Death anniversary of Chick Corea, Feb. 9th, is around the corner. It's been two years since he passed away. He'll always be in our hearts. Jacob, your playing "Spain" brings back all the memories towards a fantastic musician, Chick Corea!
RIP Chick. I thought he was looking really good when he lost the weight, but apparently not. His concerts with Hiromi, two of them, I think, are really special if you haven't seen them. Cheers. Chicks been a fav of mine for almost 50 years. Cassettes, Reel to Reel, and Vinyl, at the time.

When Hiromi played with Chick in Tokyo Jazz 2006, she goes, "Every sound (of Chic) I heard is like a treasure and I am happy every second. " (I think she intentionally used "every second", so I translated it as original. What she meant was that every moment made her happy. I really understand what she meant cuz I have the same feeling especially towards Jacob.) It is obvious that Chick gave awesome music and hit people right in the feels in so many years. RIP, Chick!
Your playing is wonderful and I love what he adds to it. Cajon is such an underrated percussion instrument, it's so versatile. I play a little piano and percussion so it's cool just seeing both of them with nothing else.
Great playing! I’ve watched this guy’s videos for a few years and never knew he spoke Japanese like that. So now I’m even more impressed. I was a military brat and lived in Japan and later Okinawa for almost 8 years of my life… and I never learned the language😢
Japanese are so respectful. Love the support they show for performances. Americans could learn a thing or two about how to appreciate beautiful things from the Japanese.
At least they’ve dropped the stupid wearing of masks, for the most part. Most people in Korea foolishly and blindly still wearing them, outside, alone, far from anyone. Sad.

I was thinking that this would be another version of when Corea played it in Barcelona with his band. Well, I was wrong. The fact that these rich, complicated yet enjoyable voicings were coming from only 2 performers make me indeed thrilled. Thank you Jacob, I'm awaiting for the other jams!
Ahh jazz is so freaking sick and serves as a foundation for musicians to do anything. When I play with someone with jazz experience, I feel secure knowing I can do anything and they will play something to make it sound good. And those skills will transfer to any style of music. STUDY JAZZ!
