I'd recommend Tolkien's "On Fairy-Stories" - It was moving for C. S. Lewis, and has some good thoughts on things like fantasy.

The problem The Witcher is that the show has nudity in it. That’s why I stopped watching it. I was shocked when the scene appeared early in the series. I stopped watching it after that and told my son to avoid it and why.
My wife and I enjoy period dramas and I looked at the first few episodes of Bridgerton to see if it was something we could watch. I thought not due to the secualized content throughout. Just wouldn’t be helpful.
I don’t have a problem with Harry Potter.

I’d say read those books with a clear conscience. Balance between reading the Witcher books/playing the Witcher games, and reading & meditating on the Word of God. I’d say either a half-hour or 2-3 chapters of the Witcher books (I’d start with The Last Wish), clear your head, then read some Bible verses afterwards, meditate on the Word & let the Word sink in. In fact, this is something I plan on doing.

Hi, I haven't watched your whole video yet, but i'd like to say. that I am a fantasy writer and I have very serious about people thinking about what they are reading and if its right for them. Discernment and Personal Assessment of ones walk in the light are important everything. There are times though I think when out physical minds, bodies and even souls get overwhelmed and fantasy is a good way of taking a break from the constant run from reality. So long as we can tell the difference between the two. The bible is Reality and anything that is not written in truth is fantasy.

What we must ask ourselves in all we do, create, read, or watch…. Is this glorifying God? If it isn’t, then we should not do it. Read Jeremiah, read the Psalms, read the book of Ezekiel.

My personal view, from a believer, is if you watch these, read these or even play these, have a clear conscience. Do not let the books, movies/shows or games fully-detract you from your walk with God.
I as a gamer & a Christian am still figuring this out for myself, but the problem is I tend to play a lot of videogames. Every so often, I’ll go back & read my Bible, but I find myself playing games because I have another objective or another place to explore; it keeps me entertained.
And meanwhile, unless there’s a particular story I’m interested in in the Bible (the story of Joseph in the Book of Genesis, all of the gospel of Jesus Christ at the start of the New Testament, or the Book of Revelations), I find myself kinda stopping at mid-Genesis because I’ve already read the Bible cover to cover & have read all that needs to be read.
Same with videogames; once I’ve done all of the things, there’s nothing left for me to accomplish or explore anymore. That being said, though, when focusing on The Witcher or Harry Potter, it’s always best to balance being entertained by them, and your time spent reading God’s Word & meditating on it.
