Here's my review of the V-Cube 8!
Hey so I was at Barnes and Noble I saw a vcube 7 (along with other ones) and it was tiny! the size of a vucube 4. Is that normal?

You've been anticipating this cube for 5 years... even though the cheaper and (in my opinion) better ShenShou come out a long time ago (plus it's not the same mech so it's not a nockoff).

45 minutes to an hour.
The hardest part actually was getting the 2x2 part of assembled. The edge pieces kept wanting to slide out when I was screwing in the center. The rest of it I had to be careful, but I didn't have any chunks of pieces fall apart.

I love the V-CUBE 8! By the way, I do sometimes come across multiple pieces popping out at the same time...... how much do you suppose I should screw in the screws to make the cube have a tighter tension to hopefully reduce the popping if possible?
I first screwed in the screws as much as a I could, then I loosened with 2 wrist turns.

MeMyselfAndPi I return! So the V-Cube 8 has come out and I wasn't sure if I should wait until my parents got it for me for my birthday, which is ages from now, or if I should save up for months and buy it. I'm buying ASAP. But one question. Is this your new favorite cube?

+Ralphie Vigg Let me guess.. 3x3 x 2x2 = 6x6, and 6x6 x 8x8 = 48x48, it acts like a 48x48 V cube so it (kinda) sucks
Isaac Lau Its more that they used a 2x2 mechanism then stuck more pieces into that to make a 3x3, which they stuck more pieces into to make an 8x8. Although innovative in like 2005, total crap mechanism.

Judging by what you said when you took the box out of the wrapping paper, you must have been waiting for a long time for this to come out. But the Shengshou 8x8 was already out, so why not get that?

Hi Pi! I'm a younger beginner cuber. I have a pillowed 2x2 and it is a piece of crap. I wanted to get another cube. I was hoping to get a Dayan ZhanChi 2x2 and 3x3 stickerless. Would you recommend that or another cube? Please reply

Please post that reassembly tutorial! Mine fell apart on me and I have no clue how to hold it together long enough to get all the pieces locked in place. I understand how the pieces fit together but can't for the life of me actually keep it together. Thanks, and great video!

Suggestion for the future, you placed your annotation in the same space that the play bar pops up into, and it is the same size, which makes clicking on it difficult.
Why is it that your v cubes turn so well, every v cube I've received turns so ruff and I have to take a break before I finish solving because my fingers get sore.

so with the new mechanism in the v cube 8 does that make the shengshou 8x8 a knock off anymore, as it was claimed previously
i think the shengshou is considered a knockoff cause they used vcubes patents. i dont think that the fact that vcubes uses a different mechanism change anything, cause shengshou still used their patents. but who cares shengshou all the way :P

This mechanism the v-cube 8 uses is still conical, thus shengshou still = knockoff.

i've seen 4 cube 8 unboxing and nobody have compared this cube to the shengshou 8x8... for exemple , petethegeek196 have made an unboxing video and a complete solve of the v cube 8 , and he doesn't compare to shengshou 8x8 even if he hold it...
yea i have a v-cube 7, and the stickers SUCK (sorry). They just peel and some of them have come off, and putting on new stickers is so HARD, because the extra stickers you get aren,t cut, so it really takes time to cut the stickers and place them. :/ if you have a good method of replacing just like 5-8 stickers/face, that would be nice!

Just get a Shengshou 8x8 cube, it moves better, is more reliable and also it's cheaper.

Mf12- outer layer is 2x wider than the ceners.

Did you know that you can make that shape shift.
No offense, but whenever you get a V-Cube it looks very fake, but whenever RedKB gets one, it looks very real (Really because he gets the white ones; you on the other hand, get the black ones).
why do they continue to make cubes with stickers? Why not just paint the plastic or have colored plastic?
lots of people like to buy specific sticker sets :) there are many colors to choose from, not just the standard

V-CUBES 9, 10 and 11 will DEFINITELY be released in the future! V-CUBE 6 pillowed came out not too long ago plus they plan to release a pillowed V-CUBE 5.
From prev. releases, probably january for the 9, and a year later for 10 and again for 11.

Hey MMAP, can u put together every even layered cube randomly, excluding the corners, like u said in ur video?
Yeah, but it won't work for uneven. For the uneven you have to orient the middle edge pieces correctly as well.
