Phoibos did a 36mm quartz version of the Sea Nymph a couple of years ago, and they sold out fairly briskly. I agree that he 'lady' branding wasn't too clever. I've ordered a black dial one to tide me over until Smiths puts the new 38mm Commander dive watch on the market. Most major brands have midsize divers, why not micros.
You actually have reviewed a ladies watch before, the Escapement Time 36mm King Seiko-ish homage. The 40mm version is the mens version, 36mm (actually closer to 35mm) is the ladies version. .
And that's the thing with gendering stuff, they even might be losing customers because of that. Same thing with Casio marketing their beautiful and excellent Edifice EFV110D as a ladies watch just because it's 35mm. I think unisex or even labeling big medium and small makes more sense in every single way

Unfortunately, while the size does not really concern me as I'm quite partial to the 36 mm Seiko 5s, the texture of the screen is not really for me... I'd wear every colour way, I have a 7 inch hairy wrist and think this is a stunner. I do think brands need to use the term unisex more especially when watch shopping online and can easily glance over this as a ladies watch.

Why sell to one group, when you could sell to all groups. 🤑

Yes the height could be less too and I do hate the “lady diver’s” on the back. However I love the watch as much as I like my burgundy/fume voyager which I also own. 38mm ain't really that small...haha. i am now trying to find some 34 to 36mm unisex or lady diver to wear as a guy as i am now sick of huge dive and pilot size watches of 42 to 46mm. my recent purchases are all 33 to 38mm dress or field watches.

I really like this design, but 38 is way too small. If it was the size of my current Seiko Sumo, I would seriously wear that pink or white MOP as a first choice.

Being masculine is interesting. I think some very old fashioned cave man style attitudes hold many people back from a more colourful and enriching life.

I'm going to divert a bit here, but I'm mexican, from the north. Think Mexican cowboy. Mexicans love to dance, but just what's culturally acceptable in the region. A while ago I entered a dancing academy to learn latin rithms, dances that are deemed very masculine in say, Cuba, Colombia, R. Dominicana and whatnot. So I got accused of being girly by my mates, while I'd be masculine af in another country. Meanwhile I was having tons of fun dancing with any kind of women I wanted. I wholeheartedly agree with you on how we're just limiting ourselves

I don’t feel so insecure then with my tactical frog version two in Tiffany, err….. I mean aquamarine because at least that one was modelled after a watch like Jacques Cousteau wore it was definitely a men’s watch even despite the colour DOXA and the frog use. That is quite nice, the blue seems much more pastel or lighter than the aquamarine colour so I think in that regards it’s even more feminine but being such a chunky monkey yeah that makes up for it. I think that My frog is the most comfortable watch I have ever had it’s not thick at all it just melts into your wrist My lug to lug is also 44 mm which is perfect for my 7 inch wrist yet it still looks like a big watch it’s like 43 mm diameter
Thats a cool watch, I agree it wears very well and glad they made a few quick tweaks to the bezel etc. Cushion case shape is probably the best for comfort for sure!

I've been wearing a 36mm Datejust since 1974 when i turned 21 , 38mm is a great size .
Its about perfect for many people I think!

Measurements are very similar to the SKX-013, except for the lugs width. Maybe lady boy isn´t a very good name, don´t google it :D :D
