I noticed that as well. Reactors that know more about music and its technicalities are praising Rora and sometimes Haram whilst those who are casual listeners are more into Pharita/Chiquita.
true, her voice is different among the other members, it's full and soulful plus her vibrato is perfect.
Rora has the smokiest voice, kind of dark RnB voice which is very very unique for kpop. So I wouldn't wonder 😁

Asa's English pronunciation needs a little work., but that will come in very little time. What I liked was her choice of song. Anyone who can rap Joyner Lucas' verses has my respect, and she did really well. She has the potential to be the best rapper in 4th gen Kpop.
Then you have to Just listen to XG mate.... specially their pre debut stuff. ASA is right up there with them imo and if YG allows her to unleash her full potential, she might surpass them soon.

@@shantanugadakh1131 Based on Asa’s introduction video, I think she’s a bit surpassed XG’s rap line. Don’t get me wrong, XG has a very sick rap line (Cocona and Maya specifically). Though, Asa has such clear diction, natural rhythm, speed, and her style is great. Her rap covers on Eminem and Joyner Lucas including her lyricism in her own self composed song is impressive for her age. Her pronunciation just needs to be worked on. The most I could say that’s on her level is Cocona.
I think from all the vocalists, I enjoyed Pharita the most. I love how she can really get up there and fully belt without sounding strained

I don't really enjoy high note all the time. I enjoyed the performances of Rora & Haram more. They showed lower tone, vibrato, high note, variation, falsetto which was more interesting to me.
Same. She has the most raw power. Effortless for her to get her voice up high and strong. Over the next years I feel she’ll be the biggest vocal weapon of the group when she learns a few more tricks.

for pharita she sound originally like that maybe there's an echo effect but she sound like that without effect too. But then again this is only one performance video. to judge them based on that alone is hard. you can be outstanding singing alone but become a shadow once you being put in a group. have to wait and see them all performing together to see who have the It factor and charisma. Can't wait for them to debut.

Clearly rap is not your thing (not a critic, we all have differtent tastes) cause specially Asa´s rap performance is really good for a song remix of Joyner Lucas which is one of the most legendary remixes of modern HipHop. And Teddy is not the producer. Teddy is preparing her own girlgroup for her label and Babymonster will be produced by other in-house and external producers, and is rumored that they´ll be a heavy vocal group with an R&B focus.
I was thinking the same. She def doesn't sound like an idol rapper so I found it odd he said it's nothing new. I found when people aren't into a certain genre of music they think it all sounds the same or just don't vibe with it but I guess that's the reason why they're not into it. I thought Ruka has a great stage presence and hes like nah lmao. I don't think he's impressed with this group. Other than Rora he gave everyone a "meh". To each their own tho and respect he's at least honest. I'm actually pretty shocked at their talent especially considering their ages.

i think Teddy will be their main producer. whether they have internal or external producer but the main producer will still be Teddy. Since Bigbang, although GD write and produce BB song but still Teddy is the main producer. And this maybe because BL is the only recording and music place in YGE.

Technically Asa and Rora are the best vocalist and rapper. No one can argue with that. It's objective.

They were all auditions quite literally. Every video are older clips from monthly evaluations while they were training. I agree that somehow Ruka's video seemed less impressive as it seemed to revolver more about spectacle rather then the performance, but that (stage precense and stage arrangement) whas probably what they were being evaluated for that month and chose that clip. Not something i tend to value, but k-pop is often about the spectacle, and that is still the primary market for this group.

Not hating but you literally said "it was not something new and not that shocked me" to a ASA's performance which was most shocking of the group for mejority of people and also said "you didn't got the stage presence" from RUKA's video which (well I personally don't believe this coz it's too soon to make such comments) was compared by many many many YG stans to mixture of CL and GD in terms of stage presence 😂😂 I guess you don't like "Rap".

The comments that I pointed out felt little bit wierd as mejority of reactors and listeners in general had completely opposite reaction to those videos, even his reaction to Ahyeon's rap was different than others... He definitely don't like rap and nothing is wrong in that as it's a personal preference after all but his comments were bit harsh on rap line in my opinion. Also in general, in all his reactions you'll never find him being impressed with YG groups. Don't know what's the problem but apart from his initial reactions to BP, he has never been impressed by any YG group.

@@wendykpop I never objected his opinion, I wrote this comment because it (his certain comments) felt really wierd to me and well I'm not alone in the comment section to feel this way am I? I'm not against him expressing his own opinions but lately he's overly criticised against YGs groups and everyone can see that... So much so that it feels like he's not going to say nice things even before reacting because the group is from YG. This again is his own opinion but it really feels biased and i feel like it's unnecessary to react to YG groups if you know you're not going to like them because it's not your type of sound.
