Jerome Cowan played Dagwood’s boss, Mr. Radcliffe, in 8 of the BLONDIE AND DAGWOOD films from 1947-1949. All 27 installments of the films were delightful and a hoot!
Suspense & ESCAPE! They starred Penny Singleton and Arthur Lake as BLONDIE and DAGWOOD, respectively, their son Alexander (known as “Baby Dumpling” when young), their daughter, Cookie, and (OF COURSE) Daisy and her pups! BLONDIE’S HOLIDAY 1947 is where he is first credited as the boss. Additionally, Penny Singleton voiced JANE JETSON... 🙂
@@arlynpage7491 Thank you for the "useless trivia!" I enjoy finding out stuff like that! I remember Alexander as a teenager, and I remember the dog "Daisy"
Suspense & ESCAPE! “Useless trivia”?!? NOT very sporting of you, Old Man, to throw a spanner in the works of one who took the time to provide you with these nuggets of nostalgic knowledge; you’d do well to apologise, forthwith, for this gaff rather than offend one of your commenters- HARRUMPH.
@@arlynpage7491 I coined the phrase "useless trivia" to jokingly describe my knowledge of Suspense and Escape. It's a good thing! Please retract your harrumph! :-)

@@SuspenseESCAPEremastered Good to hear! Oh my word... Too busy to breathe practically. Good thing that hapens on it's own LOL. Looking forward to autumn and a bit of a slow down. 😊
@@michellesheleg5895 The air has cooled, and the trees are turning color. I enjoy all four of the seasons that Michigan gives us, even though each one comes with a downside. Autumn brings raking and moving leaves, as we have several very large trees around our house (built in 1888) including 2 tall Catalpa trees that have elephant ear sized leaves!
+Jeremy Bear That's a good idea. There's a good number of scary episodes, and I've already uploaded them all. I'll compile a Halloween playlist with the best of them!
@@airconditionerfan9895 It's a beautiful sunny day here in Michigan, too! Plus the temperature is nicely cool (Just right for Charlie, and just right for football!)

That's good to know! I've never seen any of the films but read "Blondie" every day for many years!

Great audio quality!
Status 01 - Check out my playlist of Best Sound Quality, with 222 episodes in HQ Audio! Thanks for commenting - Charlie
I remember Jerome Cowan from “The Maltese Falcon” and “Mr. Skeffington.” This is the first time I’ve heard him in a radio program. Thanks!
Good memory! Especially since he didn't last very long in Falcon . . . and you're welcome!
Suspense & ESCAPE! Yes, poor Miles Archer!
Hah... Greed always wants more which leads to dire consequences. Great sound.!!
Good and gruesome! Thank you, sir.
There's nothing like a little rigor to stiffen things up!

A mistake?! How perfectly human of you!😆. I hope you and the Mrs are well! 🤗
Yes, contrary to rumors, I am human! (but I hate it when I make blunders) The Mrs. and I are okay, thank you. How have you been?

Hey Charlie. What's the scariest most creepeist episode of Suspense or Escape? Good theme for an October Post!

@@zero_bs_tolerance8646 The Sanitarium episode I remember is a creepy one. I forget the exact name

The ending of the story SOUNDS plausible . . . I wonder if it is? - It's one we definitely won't see on "Myth Busters!"
Wow, back then a typical normie didn't know what rigor mortis was. Now maybe I kind of understand the Flynn Effect.
So exciting to see so many comments. I am the 32nd!
So . . . What took you so long to join in?! :-)
