  • Today we take a detailed look at the new LEGO Fairground LOOP Coaster! This set is massive and its functions are flawless! Not only do we hand crank the coaster sending the cars down the steep drop and through the double loop... but we also hook it up to the classic power functions! They work like a charm! Not only is this set super functional but it has some nice Minifigures and storytelling. Check it all out in this detailed review!

    The powered up functions make these coasters so fun to operate. Seeing it built live on stream was even more fun even if there were operation complications like the minifigs getting stuck upside down in one of the loops which made it that much more fun to see live. Great review Bricksie.

    Oh, I just figured something out! While the new short straight track lacks a diagonal beam you could now build flat straight track and run a chain across it. You could use that for rides that feature some kind of display.

    What prevents this roller coaster from operating with 2 trains in 3 block zones is the lift. It takes too long to return to the bottom. A second train would therefore not increase rider capacity. I see myself turn the balloon, hot dog, and pretzel carts into Roller Coaster Tycoon-style stalls on 16x16 plates.

    Your counterweight feels much better in tune out of the box. Mine seemed to have a lot of bounce and would cause the lifter to slam down pretty hard and then even bounce high enough to cause the red blocker to re-engage for a moment. I just now messed with the rollers at the top and ended up putting the string under one of the non-spinning support poles to give it a little extra friction so that it comes back down at a pace that doesn't rival the Haunted House's drop tower.
    I'd considered hacking together a flywheel type setup like the drop tower to slow it down at the bottom but found that, at least in my 3 minutes of testing, just adding a little friction to the rope did the trick and it comes back down smoothly and without any bouncing at the bottom and certainly without the big slam noise.

    • @projecto.t.s.1052
      @projecto.t.s.1052 ปีที่แล้ว

      so I bought this set and it works perfectly, there is a few steps that are absolutely crucial such as counting the chain links. I was concerned but you have to literally pull/stretch the 222 chain links and the 33 big links about 4 links length to get the right tension, undercounting and overcounting will undoubtedly change the function. also I can imagine some people are tying off too much string on the knots. its annoying but you have to really sit there and leave as little extra as possible. just my two cents, although I got a early 2023 model so maybe they fixed something.

Really like they added the Hot Dog stand and bench area, I feel they could of left those out but I'm glad they are a part of it. Also like that the path to the boarding area goes underneath the track so the riders themselves could look up, watch and listen to the screaming riders.

    This is great. My only question is this - is it possible to replace the battery box with a “wall outlet” option? In my city, the coaster will be difficult to reach, so my goal is to use a smart plug for power. No idea if this is possible or not.
