    Thanks for sharing all of these products and demonstrating them. I dont quilt per se but use the techniques in garments and totes. I’m moving into a bit more crafting ideas of phot transfer and never heard of some of these products. I’m definite going to look at the Tap product. Seems lie it would cover a wide range of what I want to do!

    I am wanting to put images on some burlap. Wondering if with those pencils you could put your image under the fabric and trace it onto your fabric. Are those pencils okay to paint right onto the fabric?

    • @NationalQuiltersCircle
      @NationalQuiltersCircle  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi,
      Unfortunately burlap is not a fabric that I have ever tested this technique on. I would recommend either consulting the manufacturer of the pencil to see what fabrics they recommend using. Or, simply testing it out on a small scrap of burlap to see if you get the desired look.
      Cheers,

      Hi,
      You can use some of the same techniques, however because of the nap on velvet it is going to be difficult to transfer an image as it won't really lay flat. I may consider using an alternative fabric.

    TAP was a great transfer paper. However, it has been discontinued and the woman who created says that there are no plans to manufacture it. If you do find it online, make sure that it's not too old. The medium on it can get dry and gets crumbly and it won't work anymore.
