Finally a review that doesn’t jump on the “trash” the RZ bandwagon. Thanks for the unbiased review.

I have the Lexus RZ. I really love this car, BUT.......Be aware that the Range and charging time sucks. It's meant to be used to drive around the city, not for road trips. In winter I wasn't able to get more than 180km of range. As soon as you activate the AC you loose almost 100km of range.

We have a Mustang....in our businessfleet. Ford says, 540 km. From day one our best range was 400km....in winter 280km.....just saying.
Fast charging highway, always far slower than what the say. If 4 or 5 cars are charching, the charging delivery speed is far less..... .
The battery pack, is to small. Lexus inbuild restrictions for battery capacity, goodcthing, but limited the range. Dual motors not necessary. That said, go for the Rz300e....most range issues fixed.

Thanks for the review of the Lexus RZ450e. Often it's only fokus on range and chargingtimes of electric cars, and for a lot of us it's not suitable to buy a heavy car for the trips we are dreaming of but rearly take. For a lot of us it's more importent with high comfort, shorter stopping distance in a lighter car, better handling and all the others we have got in the RZ, and we wouldn't drive around with a heavy battery we hardly need for a couple of times a year. But the RZ is even more comfortable and still handle realy good with the 18 " wheels instead of 20" which in real life driving give a range where we absolutely would like half an hour brake for some food and charging. We have had a good cars during the life, but nothing can compare with the RZ we have ordered now where we in some long test drives experienced a quiet and comfortable ride in the Lexus RZ which cannot be explained as good as the relaxing experience. We have had several cars from Toyota and Lexus, and we are happy with the high level of service, the reliability and the good value of the cars after some years which in total give a pleasent ownership cost, and for most of us this is a importent part of having a car. Best Regards Arne from Norway.

Thank you for your input. You're absolutely correct, this is the intended market for it, Lexus and Toyota have been awesome. I hope you enjoy it once it arrives!

Just go for the new RZ300E with more range, still 15 year battery warranty and Lexus overall 10 year warranty. Great car.

Where are you getting 15yr battery warranty? The 2024 RZ 300e that I have is 8yr, 100k miles warranty on the battery.

The RZ’s biggest failure is that it’s a poor EV. Because I will agree that EV range and charging speed aside, it is 1,000,000% a better car than the Model Y. And I do own a 2021 Model Y that I purchased brand new. If Lexus can figure out the range and charging speed on this thing, I’d buy it.

It is given the dual motor and small battery pack, an EV with limited range. But who drives more than 200mls daily???? Rz300e has more range. You can charge at home, office etc. This RZ is a true Lexus, and only EV with resale value due to best warranty .....

@@avdp9095 Range and good charging speed isn’t something you need all the time, that much is true. Just looking at my Tesla app, my wife (who primarily drives the car) charges at home 76% of the time, she charges at work only 2%, she charges at other places like shopping malls and grocery stores another 3%, and the remaining 19% is at superchargers. The thing is, I think the 19% at superchargers is critical. Our car has 37,000 miles now, so 7,000 of those miles were supercharger miles. I know for a fact that during a trip to Minnesota (2,000 miles round trip) I relied solely on superchargers. If I’m buying a car for $60,000. I need it to be a little more than a around town machine. That’s all I’m saying.

According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), relatively few fires are caused by electric vehicle charging. Most fires are caused by improper use or aging electrical equipment [Source: NFPA].

This has to be one of the worse EV's on the road Range Wise. Even for someone to drive around in City. there is no way people will buy, i don't care how much Toyota reliability is behind this. The Range alone make people walk away from this car.
