A Protestant theologian said rapture is in the Latin Vulgate Catholic, bible he showed us the actual word rapture in the Latin bible..on tv also during a 11 year revival in the Catholic Church starting in 1957 we were taught about the rapture we had sermons in the 50s and 60s at my Catholic Church about the rapture I remember father Val and 1968 gave a sermon on the rapture in which he believed in the bishop believed in it father Monsignor donahoe who ram Saint Agnes believed in it, and and so did the nuns in their long habits teaches about the rapture and they taught us this during this 11 year revival with the influence of the holy Spirit during our revival.. the church taught us it's in our Catholic Bible and the lord gave me a vision dream that it is real there's your confirmation three... Ps. And this was all talked to us during an 11-year revival in the Catholic Church starting around 1957 with the influence of the holy spirit... The more I listen to you modern Catholics you have a lot of ecumenical garbage in you and very modern and different beliefs than us true traditional bible-believing Roman Catholics and yes I am under the pope I've always been a Roman Catholic and not a modern liberal Catholics like you guys..
I was taught "Resurrection " not "rapture "...1 Corinthians 15:40-42 40There are both heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is one thing, and that of the earthly is another. 41There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; indeed, star differs from star in glory. 42So it is with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable
If it's in the Catholic Bible the word rapture then it's in their father, I'm sorry you're wrong about this, it's not the teaching now because you're talking about two different churches it's liberal now and my days it was traditional, at least the Protestants got it right.. ps. You were taught wrong..
it's in the Catholic vulgate Latin bible, they taught us about the rapture in the 1950s and 60s and gave sermons about the rapture in the Catholic Church, confirmations come in three it's in the Catholic bible, the church taught us about it, and God gave me a vision dream about it so it's real....... PS father Val gave a sermon on the rapture in 1968 at Saint Agnes church and Monsignor donahoe believed in the rapture he ran Saint Agnes Church in our Bishop believed in the rapture so I don't know where you're coming from I think you are a modern more liberal Catholic theology ours was really Roman Catholic in Jesus name..
This guy is meandering all over the place. I suggest for future sermons, KISS. Keep it simple. Death, judgement, heaven or hell. Stick to a simple message we can all take away, salvation. Keeping it under 10 minutes will help you be more concise. It's not a philosophy course, it's a homily. Peace be with you, Viva Cristo Rey!
What you are saying is true. The Rapture is not Catholic teaching. That is why Catholics are dying without any assurance of salvation, or having the sure hope that when they die it is absent from the body and present with the Lord. The best they can cling on to is a figment of someone's imagination that their goodness and good works will get them into and then out of purgatory. Read John's gospel chapter 14 v 1-6. Jesus is coming, at the Rapture, for His Bride/church, to take us to the Father's house for the marriage supper of the Lamb, and also to miss the great Tribulation when the living nations will be judged.
Not trying to pick a fight, and I don't know enough. But I do know that 3 Days of Darkness is not just 1 visionary, but instead about 10 or 12. Surely 10 or 12 visionaries can't all be wrong? Especially when they proved correct in other areas. Also, a similar darkness did occur with Moses and Pharoah, so why can't it re-occur? Ok I haven't heard Jimmy Akin, I could be wrong, but I'm a bit suspicious about him. Early on he tried to "shoe-horn" a Calvinist 'TULIP' philosophy and say parts of it is ok with Catholicism. I stopped listening to him then. I would trust Tim Staples and Dr Brant Pitre and Dr John Bergsma more.
Hmmmmm. I kind of feel like he’s asking us not to think…..Not to come into our own relationship with biblical teachings. The truth is, we will not know if we will meet Jesus in the clouds pre-tribulation unless and until it happens. We are encouraged to focus on Jesus 100%. But we are also told that we are not meant for wrath (Thessalonians 5:9-10). Everyone does their best to interpret the heck out of the harpazo (rapture/harpazo/caught-up) Thessalonians 4:17……Yes, it’s in the Bible; but we won’t know until the glorious coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are encouraged to remain hopeful. ✝️
I've always found this even dumber than their earth is only 6000 years old nonsense. I've given up even trying to understand their babble about dinosaurs.
This shows a poor understanding of rapture theology and an example of where replacement theology leads a person. I leads to allegorizing the Bible to fit an interpretation.
The rapture is biblical. We are not appointed to wrath which is the upcoming tribulation or Jacob’s Trouble. The gospel also changes back to the gospel of the circumcision. Today our salvation gospel is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Saved by grace through faith alone! Ephesians 2:8-9
I'm Catholic and this is a very bad homily. If you know the Bible this should have turned your stomach. As Catholics we may not call it "the rapture"but we believe in every word of the Bible. Do you know that they get the word rapture from the latin word rapio? That means to be seized/snatched away (kept out of or taken away from). Today's translation says "to be caught up." I laugh when they say rapture is not in the Bible. If you are dead or alive at the time God comes for His bride....we believe in the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. You pray the prayer at mass. This is what we believe! In the twinkling of an eye we shall be changed the Bible says. Are you ready for the great moment of rapio whenever it shall be? Are we preparing ourselves and having those lamps lit for the return of Christ? Be careful of what they are "debunking" in these last days. The Bible says there will be days when the Sun will be darkened and the moon will not shed it's light. The Bible says there will come a time when they will fail to preach sound teaching. Leading you astray. Do you not see the church getting rid of good priests and even Bishops who stand for the truth? Who really know the word of God and preach it? Be careful of those who will quote you the Bible and then tell you what they just read is a lie?! Or tell you that age old Catholic mystics were a bunch of liars and story tellers. Lord Jesus, may you yourself prepare in the wilderness of our hearts....the path of your return.
We are sorry you believe this is a bad homily, but the Catholic Church clearly does not subscribe to the Protestant concept of the rapture, as varied as it is. We do believe every word in the Bible, but every word is not intended to be taken literally. As Catholics, we should embrace Catholic teaching of both Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition, rather than the Protestant view of Sacred Scripture that is based on Protestant tradition. You may want to visit Catholic answers and review the analysis of the rapture that was performed by a number of Catholic theologians based on Catholic teaching. That is a laugh! Your New Testament reads nearly exactly the same as mine. When Jesus returns, the dead in Christ will rise first, then, those that are alive and remain will be caught up with Jesus. That is what is refered to as the "rapture" even though in Greek it is called harpazo I believe. SAME THING. So, to say Catholics don't believe in the rapture is a screwy puzzle. Is the Catholic Church also teaching error on this as well, not following what scripture actually says. I'm no fan of the pre-tribulation teaching of the timing of the rapture. Clearly this is a false teaching. Jesus returns after the tribulation or at the end of it. I wouldn't split hairs over that, not worth it plus God does not tell us enough about the details.
Like many things preached and believed by our Protestant brothers and sisters, the rapture may mean different things to different people. You even admit there are some parts of the rapture you do not agree with. The general understanding of the rapture popularized by John Darby in the late 1800’s was that “The idea of the rapture is that believers will be caught up to heaven before Jesus' second coming and judgment on earth.” Catholics do not subscribe to this notion and we believe that our soul will know our fate at the time of our death. We call this, particular judgement. When Jesus returns, there will be the final judgement where our souls will be united with our risen bodies. This is clearly in contrast with the traditional notion of the Rapture.
@@OurLadyoftheGulfCatholicChurch When Jesus returns the dead in Christ will rise first, then those that are alive and remain will be caught up with Jesus - that part is the harpazo or "rapture." 1st Thessalonians 4:16-18. God even tells us here to comfort one another with these words. Wise to follow God's advice. There are three theories of when this "rapture" will occur. End trib, mid trib or so and pre-trib. The pre-trib theory is a False Theory. The timing of the rapture being before the tribulation is a False Teaching - no question about it. It's like coming up with a doctrine and stringing a few Bible verses together that do not really fit that well and are questionable as to the subject, like rapture, to prove their point. I notice all churches, without exception, do this.
@@OurLadyoftheGulfCatholicChurch I would have to deny the scriptures if I deny the catching up of the Christians that are alive and remain by Jesus when He returns. That's black and white and obvious scripture. You may disagree with calling this the rapture but it means the same thing so why split hairs. What I disagree with is teaching this will happen before the tribulation. That is False.
@@OurLadyoftheGulfCatholicChurch The other thing I have to point out as false is that this pre-tribulation rapture they are talking about talks place with a secret pre-second coming of Christ to wisk the church out of harm's way before the tribulation period. There are no such scriptures.

“The Rapture is not Catholic teaching,” but it is instead BIBLICAL teaching. Fortunately for us, the rapture is real, and is pre-tribulational. For those of you here of the Catholic denomination, just like this gentleman is wrong about the rapture, as is the Catholic denomination, apparently, you have also been mislead to believe you need an interceder (I.e., a priest) to commune with God and that you must confess your sins to that interceder (and do penance) to obtain forgiveness. Please know this is wrong, and cease robbing Christ of the honor He deserves, which he earned on the cross by being submissive to the Father’s will, even unto death. Turn away from this delusion, and other non-Biblical “Catholic “teachings,” read the Bible for yourself, and prayerfully seek Godly understanding. Jesus is your interceder…seek Him while he may be found, and enjoy the rich and generous blessings He freely gives us, because He loves us, not because we have earned them.
Do you even read the Bible ? Or just repeat things other people say ? Where do think the Bible came from ? Who wrote the New Testament, and who decided which books would be in it ? Have you read John’s Gospel ? If you did, you would know that Our Lord gives His Apostles the power to forgive or retain sins - John 20:20-22.

I was taught "Resurrection " not "rapture "...1 Corinthians 15:40-42
40There are both heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is one thing, and that of the earthly is another. 41There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; indeed, star differs from star in glory. 42So it is with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable
The Apostle Paul clearly thought the Rapture.
The 3 days of darkness is all over the internet.
8:08: There is something moving in the air, left of the Priest! 😮
Wrong
John 14:15 nkjv" If you love Me, keep my commandments."
Protestants like to add the word “alone “ in there , adding words to the holy gospel to make it say something that it isn’t, is a heresy!
The rapture was John Darby's doctrine. Not biblical
@@michaelmunoz679 Jesus took the curse of the law away. He became a curse for us. Curseth is everyone who hangeth by a tree.
Blessings!

When Jesus returns the dead in Christ will rise first, then those that are alive and remain will be caught up with Jesus - that part is the harpazo or "rapture." 1st Thessalonians 4:16-18.
So sad to hear a Catholic priest calling the ancient Israelites “Jews”. This one error is the cause of much suffering, death and destruction of the Catholic Orthodox Church. It’s shameful.
Proof of A Pre trib Rapture. Pay Attention to the Cloud and Clouds Jesus appears In and With. Acts chapter 1 verses 9 10 11 Cloud. In Red Luke chapter 21 verses 27 and 28 Jesus is coming In A Cloud the Rapture. In Revelation chapter 1 verse 7 Jesus is coming With the Clouds when he comes back to the Mt of Olive the second coming KJV. You Decide.
SHUT UP. JUST SHUT THE HELL UP. EVANGELICALS AND BAPTISTS ARE CUCKOO. KEEP BELIEVING THE SHIT MADE UP BY SOME TOSSER POOF WHO WAS A HYPO-CHRISTIAN SO SHUT UP!
Amen, time is short.
Protestant brother Read the Bible in context and you can see and read for yourself the rapture doctrine is false.

You're completely wrong. The rapture is a silly notion dreamt up by some silly preacher in about 1830.
