I agree Matt I never had an issue with breeding spiders or rearing them up. I love my killer queen enchi.

Love that you brought up have same gene animals can have variances in them.
I have 3 single gene female VPI axanthic females. And all 3 look slightly different.
The ones that get me are the "it was marked as normal, but looks different from this other normal." If it's marked as a normal, for the price of a normal, then it's more than likely a normal.

    I want a Zeebrabee male 😭
Between this clutch and the last you’ve had several things that are so cool that I would love to start with. But I’m still a ways out from being able to start. Great clutch!

I would love to see a video on the best way to humanely cull babies. I know that you probably can't do it on this channel, but maybe could do it on a Patreon video. We still have about another year before we are going to start breeding. I have heard of some ways to do it, but they don't seem right to me. I've heard of people freezing the babies, but that just seems cruel. I've heard that the most humane way to do it is with a large hammer, but I don't know how good that sounds either.

Freezing bad. The major complete brain trauma works, but I don't have the heart. I use sir. Chompsalot

I cut my 6 eggs last night. 4 vpi 2 normal. Was just trying to prove out a female.

I actually bought a Lesser Bee proven breeder female, but I can't bring myself to breed her. She has a pretty bad wobble. So she's gonna be a pet. I agree they're gorgeous, but I just justify passing those genetics on.

My question is, what line of Black Pastel did you use? It sounds like you just used unknown lines, and that's a big no from what I understand for supers. You need to know the line, and much like other animals I think this is a case of linked mutations. But two lines have, as far as I can find, originally always produce animals without kinking. From hundreds to thousands of hours of research I think it's more a separate mutation that was introduced in the BP public line near it's beginning. I think will find a separate neighboring gene in testing eventually that is causing the issue. However I'll be really open if not. I have a solid Barnhart a animal so I'll update with that thought processes when I know more. Unfortunately Ian G line is harder to confirm and the original source is not around anymore, and OBR refuses to even comment to me why they no longer have the line or work with Ian. I'm newer so I'm guessing I missed something. However the Ian G and Barnhart lines from literally no sources had these issues reported. Now Ian G line is no longer reliable nor is the history documented well. But Barnhart line was literally totally sequestered from the general population and was never cross breed.
He got his line at the same time as the line that went public, but he just kept it to himself and bred it privately. His line had NEVER been crossed to the others, of course that's only assuredly true from Tom's line because for so long he didn't even offer them to others nevermind cross the lines. But if you get an animal from Tom it's guaranteed to be clean of the other lines. So if that head kinking is a linkage from the original imports, of which I understand there was at least 2 or 3 individuals, it will be present in his line as well but so far it doesn't seem to be.

I've heard lines, I've heard incubation Temps, yet there is zero proof 20 years later. If one line worked, I imagine it would be shown, sold for more, and kept going.
With Mahogany, making 8 ball complex makes zero sense.
I will be solid on that unless someone can provide proof that something works. Until then, I will be outspoken about it.
