    Back in the 80's we had these at the Northern Warfare Training Center in Alaska, as a grunt all I can say about them is they were better than walking. Loud cold and loved to break down in -20 degrees F. That said it looks like a good kit. Thanks for sharing.

      thanks for the insight Gary, I would not to be in -20 in such an open machine lol

    i´m glad you like the kit! here you can totally nerd out on the interior and engine and weathering i think.
    never really looked at the kit in any greater detail myself, so i found it interesting to see what the kit is actually like!

      Forgot to mention that I don't like the tracks at all, 'cause they're too stiff or rigid and I'll definitely buy some indy link tracks. But the "rest" of the kit is very nice!

      Shane Smyth Yes, I think so too. If I just wasn't such a slow modeler! :)

    Remember to sand smooth the upper side of the Sponsons.... Huge ejector pin marks are present... also... the Ammo Magazines interior walls are also riddled with EPM's... its tedious work to fill and clean up but... I'm sure you can make it shine ! Also, Test the tracks... mine didn't not welcome any types of glue what so ever.... weird plastic ??? Take care ! happy modelling.

      thanks Norm ! it will take a bit of prep work as you said but I think we will get a nice model for our efforts , will keep that in mind with the tracks and hopefully they won't be troublesome
      thanks mate !

      no prob. Shane ! you might need to add a few Fan belts and Alternator belts.... using tape or some other plastic bands... if yours doesn't have it already ? Best of luck !

    I have the 120mm version . great kit. Wish HobbyBoss or someone would make a M5 and a M6 High speed tractors. Someone makes a resin M5 and it is close to $100.00.

      luckily many of the newer companies like Takom are beginning to take subjects once only covered by expensive resin companies so you never know what we will get in the future

    great review shane, you know it's funny how kit makers can't make a real great looking duce, I mean look at Asuka aka Tasca, 50 cal, I'd love to be in the meeting of the other companys, when they were looking at the mold of there 50, I'd have said, ya that thing sucks do better. Tamiya, Dragon, Italeri, Academy, and some others just can't get it right.

      it is very strange who so many companies can't get it right, like there are so many M2's lying around for them to get dimensions right but yet they are all so different lol

    Hi. Nice video. I have the same kit and I am wondering about the 8 p4 photo-etched parts. I can't figure out where they go. Did you find a use for them?

    • @longlance67
      @longlance67  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't gotten around to building mine yet, so I am not of much help on that one sorry,best google it and see if there any builds of it online as reference
