This is basically proof that, it's often times not the brush or the tools but the artist. I always worry about the using the right brush when I paint digitally that it often just waste time and I return to using 3 brushes I normally use. Ur vid is a huge inspiration that I should just focus on the art and how I render it properly. Great vid!
@@savvysod8995 Thank you!! This technique really helped me improve in shading and color nuances. I highly recommend trying it at least once to see your abilities!
I love your style and command of the brush. Unlike most other art teachers on TH-cam, you actually have a unified brush and color application language, and I feel the chain link brush really made the connection between the concept of the character and practical craft of the painting. Truly commendable. I am particularly awed by your brush strokes, and application of color and overlay of painting, especially in the arm which overlays this beautiful busy-ness without making it actually busy. I would love it if you could one day explain that process more detailed. Subbed for a great artist :D Might I ask, do you have an Atelier background?
@@s0somon1678 Please do not take it personally, but the title of the video is very misleading since you're using the chain brush only for rendering and nothing else x) (you're not the only one who does this with titles, you just happened to be the one TH-cam recommended)
@@TSREMYO82I don’t take it personally; I just find your point of view interesting, but I don’t think the expression “only” is misleading. The entire drawing was created using the chain brush; the "color sketch" was not used for the final rendering, only as a reference. However, I admit that for the sketch I could have done it with the brush chain.
@@s0somon1678 If you ever do one of these again, i'd be curious to see what a sketch made with a chain brush (or any other "tool" brush) could bring up. Sometimes, textured or shape-based brushes create interesting artifacts that can lead to unexpected results! Keep it going!

Oui je suis française!
It's a good piece, but i HAVE to say it : "Only" has kinda lost it's meaning.
@@TSREMYO82 why “Only” has lost its meaning??
