    I work in a level 5 prison with some level 4 felons who are walking around into my space at times. I see a lot of blind sucker punch hooks. I used to simply dodge the punch and/or move my head. After doing JKD I have been getting ahead of the punch (intercepting) and taking the center line. Your book defense involves an elbow which is amazing after training it for a few months. You have been a true savior and continue to provide additional techniques that are applicable in the prison setting when getting attacked happens often.

    • @masterwong101
      @masterwong101  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely, my friend! 🥋 It's heartening to hear how JKD and our techniques have made a difference in your life, especially in such challenging situations. 🙏
      In martial arts, we embrace the virtue of RESPECT (禮). Keep refining your skills and remember, the more you learn, the safer you become. 🥷
      Stay tuned for more techniques and, most importantly, keep enjoying your martial arts journey! 🥋

    Inside elbows and structure disruption; unexpected explosive force from centerline to centerline.
    This is such a quintessential wing chun technique. I almost feel like this could be a great first intermediate technique.
    I would love to see some collaborations with other styles; I've always felt that straight boxing or kick boxing specialists could benefit from the fundamental techniques and concepts of wing chun.

    I taught my son pac soa, bong soa, and lap sao using energy drills the first 15 years of his life and now that hes 21 he tells me he needs to learn more kung fu. I told him he already knows it but doesn't know he knows it. 😂. One day he will understand. I told him to watch Master Wong because he will learn what to do with what he already learned.

    • @masterwong101
      @masterwong101  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My philosophy is simple, my friend: "Adapt and overcome." Your son's journey is about recognizing his potential and building upon it. 🥋
      In life, we need patience and humility, virtues like "Ren" (benevolence) and "Yi" (righteousness). Encourage him to embrace these. 🙏
      Situational awareness is key, both in martial arts and life. Quick evaluation, like "Zheng" (integrity) and "Xin" (trustworthiness), helps us make the right choices. 🧠
      I've crafted the 'Wing Chun Mastery: The Ultimate Solo Training program' www.wingchunmaster.tv/ with these principles. It's designed to empower him, taking what he knows and turning it into mastery. 🚀
      This program offers techniques, drills, and wisdom that build upon his existing foundation. It's the bridge to his next level. Let's embark on this journey together! 🌟
      Engage with us, and let's walk the path of martial arts excellence! 🥷👊💥
