Hi Johnny, your locs are truly epic! Do they get in the way of your day to day? What of neck health or scalp health? Do they not strain these a bit over the course of the day?
No not really, small stuff nowadays, like I was cleaning my toilet one day, few months ago, and they weren't in the rubber band and almost dropped in there lol. Working on the car or something and they might get in the way. I have (up to this point) not experienced any neck pains whatsoever. As far as scalp health, as you can see my dreadlocks are spaced out, so thoroughly cleaning my scalp is rather easy. Nothing strains and or hinders throughout the course of my day, hope this answered your questions.
🖤 I'm glad to see the new video. 🔥🔥 👊🏿 this question interests me !!! I really wondered how.... my hair often prevents me from sleeping well and it hurts me a lot sometimes and it's uncomfortable..
Yes, the positioning, and possible aids. Whilst sleeping. Will invariably be personal, and very individual. My pillowcases, have been made of cotton. And I have never placed anything upon my head. Whilst sleeping. I effectively have two ponytails. Adjacent to the sides of my head. Formed via a parting, at the back of my head. Whilst sleeping upon my back. Mollycoddling my hair, has never become the impetus. For its growth pattern. I marvel at my hair’s ability, to become its own sculptor. Fluff, within my choice of hairstyle, is an inevitable, and acceptable consequence, of my hair. Thank you for sharing, and vocalising your experiences. May this New Year, become the beacon for all of your wants, needs, and endeavours. In all of their guise’s Johnny!
I've had my locs almost two years, and I have a lot but they are very thick. I know If I use even a tie to put them up, it seems to create a weak spot in the dread, so it's always down. I do always sleep with them covered and I have no lint problems at all, plus I don't use cotton, it's satin. Glad to see another video from you,.Thanks. Hope you still playing chess.
Good vid. Question. Should I be getting my hair wet in the shower on days I don't wash it? I am new and my hair is going through the cleansing phase, in the sense that I used bad products before and it would get nasty greasy in 1.5-2 days. Now I wash it with all natural shampoo and African black soap every two to 3 days until it naturally decides to stay cleaner longer. But should I try and keep it dry as possible on non wash days? Thanks. Caucasian hair, 1yr length 6-12inches here and there; 3 weeks in.
I really can't speak to Caucasian hair. I would think washing every few days wouldn't hurt. Hopefully someone with that hair type can chime in and give more insight than I can offer.
What kind of rubber band do you usually use for your locs?? I'm interested because I can't find a rubber band that would be 100 percent comfortable for me (((
