Precious memories for me, recalling my wife and children singing at Evansdale community church deep in the Ozark Mountains, using shape note hymnals in the 1970's. Judy went home to be with the Lord in 2015 at age 70. I am 80 now and homesick for Heaven. Judy and I were together, inseparable, through good times and rough times, from 1962 to 2015. We will be rejoined some day and worship our Savior together and the ages will roll with the end of these earthly trials forevermore.

The banjo playing is fantastic. He manages to accentuate the melody perfectly and tons better than any other heard. And I’ve been a banjo player for many years.

Yes they make most of their clothing that is why I tried to compliment them without showing pride. I just gave an Amish man doing roofing a new pair of black carhartt winter pants and he gladly accepted them. I knew his wife could alter them if they did not fit. They are a very self sufficient and hard working people.
