    So glad we’re getting more E46 m3 content from this channel! My go to channel for this. Your shifter video was a huge help for when I recently did mine

    I see you also aquired a QuickJack lift. I absolutely LOVE mine. I used a small piece of velcro and inserted it inside the rubber jack pad on the car, and then placed the mating piece of velcro to the insert portion of the jack pad puck. That seems to work wonders as I'm getting the blocks and QuickJack into place for lifting. Great vid!

    So when doing this conversion we can use the same e46 rotor and brakes?

  • @AlexisJavier18
    @AlexisJavier18 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have a 328ci and I think the diameter of the rotor is 300mm of how many it must be to install those brake calipers?

    I plan on installing these on the weekend. How do you like them so far? Are they loud at all? They’ll just be for street use (for me).

    Thanks for show the number for the front brake pad kit. But is the number for the rear?

      @mrgizmo7975 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That number with 0737 is for his rear kit. It is an FMSI D737 pad shape.

    Front brakes not upgraded?…
    Im doing mine and apparently I need to shave 5.5mm from the mounting boss of the caliper.
    Wondering if anyone else has done this

    Hi what kind of rotors are you using?

    Curious to hear your feedback on brake balance. I've had nothing but trouble with rear BBKs, at one point moving the balance so far back the car was almost undriveable, let alone being able to trail brake. Switching bad compounds around made no difference, just burning up the rears.

      I thought i just didnt bleed my brakes enough, was the pedal travel long?

    • @SeanS54
      @SeanS54  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      According to Build Journal's Brake Bias chart it should be just as good as OEM. I'm going to the track next weekend 10/10 so I'll know then. :-)

    Anyone know if this would work for the E9X chassi? I think e9x and e46 are pretty similar?

    If want to use 996 brakes do I need a different proportioning valve?

    • @LochyP
      @LochyP 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. The 996 brake bias is very similar to e46 m3.

    What about the emergency brake?

    • @mrgizmo7975
      @mrgizmo7975 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      E46 has a separate cable operated lever for parking brakes, indep of the caliper. You use the same stock rotor with this caliper kit.

    Do you lose the functionality of the brake pad sensor ?

    • @SeanS54
      @SeanS54  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes because it's a retrofit. However, someone spliced the wires to make it work like OEM but I chose not to do so. It's good practice to check your brake pads every now and then and not rely on the pad sensor.
