- This error (P0446) popped up around 50k miles.
After searching online, first and cheapest fix was to replace the fuel cap but the error did not go away.
Second (more expensive) option was to replace the fuel tank valve vapor and replace it myself. I bought the part from eBay and engine light stayed on, So I assumed there's a leak in the system that needs to be detected by MINI service department. They charged over $180 for diagnosis and come to find out the part I bought online was faulty. Replacement at MINI was $130.
If these two part replacements doesn't fix your issue, it must be a leak.
