There is no better accessory than the Lensmate Thumbgrip. Every time I hold my X100V I’m still wowed by how much better it is to hold one-handed than without a thumbgrip. I can totally recommend it to everyone looking to improve their X100V experience.
Love the update! I agree on the lens flare with the X100V. Rarely is it ever an issue... and the square hood does extend the length a little bit (while also looking rad, for sure) but I find that I keep it on and love it more because I feel more confident that nothing will accidentally touch the front glass / get it smudged. I never use a lens cap anymore and it would take some pretty intentional "reach inside the square hood" to touch the glass... so I keep it on :) the Haoge is excellent.
Nice job on the video! My current X100V setup Soft Shutter release button - The More Gooder (American Flag) Strap: Hawkesmill Kensington, Peak Design Leash & Cuff Filter: B+W UV filter with a Haoge LH-X49B metal hood/filter adapter Lensmate Folding Thumbrest
Sound advice. I tend to pimp out my cameras day one without giving then a shot (pun not intended) as is. I’ll be more mindful next time, using the camera as it came and if i find myself in situations where i need accessories, then get them.
personally i've never used it. but there are some notable differences between the two models. (the V has a newer lens, tilt screen, better video, etc) if you dont need these new features i'm sure the F will suit you very well!

thanks for the rec brian!
Lens hood it’s a must have if you shoot with internal nd filter against the light it flares too much with a grey patina over the photo!
