I am so looking forward to this series. Thank you for coming up with series idea. I really liked the photos you chose. They are beautiful. The emotions shown in their faces was electrifying. Almost like the Mona Lisa you are never quite sure which emotion they're feeling.
I think It would be more helpful if you could show us the final work (the watercolor portrait you're teaching us to do) on the video! But thanks for the video tho! very helpful!
Hi there! Thank you so much for your comment! If you're just talking about doing regular watercolor painting, then I would recommend you pick a 140lb cold-press watercolor paper. Here is a link to an inexpensive one that I've used for years: www.dickblick.com/items/10173-1023/ However, if you're asking what paper to draw on for practice, then I just recommend some simple drawing paper, nothing fancy. :) In my opinion, watercolor paper with a medium amount of texture is the easiest to paint on. The more texture, the more specialized the subject matter should be the look the best. The less texture, the harder it is to correct mistakes. :) Hope this helps and thank you so much for watching! Best, Meredith
I would use a kneaded eraser for your erasing step -easier to not be too overeager erasing.
Excellent lesson. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
