After I met my dad a few years ago, I thanked God for shielding me from him. As a child I felt abandoned and rejected but now I'm grateful. Some people are not fit to be parents.

I’m glad the sister in yellow apologized to her. She kind of pushed her away in her responses to her and I can kind of understand it. This is amazing! That lady is awesome! ❤
My father's absence and abandonment did not affect my life. I remember him telling me at the age of 9 that the family he lives with is his priority now and to stop calling him because I was upsetting his new wife. I was hurt, cried for a few seconds then was over it. It's like my mind accepted it and I just didn't care.

@@daniellethornton9783 I’m fine. I lived a good life without him. I didn’t feel incomplete or cry during pivotal moments in my life because he was not there. When I see how torn up people steer that their father wasn’t there it makes me feel weird because I didn’t and still don’t give s damn. 😂

This had me in tears...I'm 50 next month and have never felt whole. I never knew my father or even a name...now my mom has dementia of the alzhiemer's type at 70. I've done 1 dna kit and found my other family but I have no clue how to trace who has the segments to find him...I need a genealogists. 😢 I felt every moment, so many feelings watching this. I especially felt happy yet jealous,it's not me. Congratulations, beautiful sister's ❤💞

Hi, I went through this same thing recently and my mom was dead so wasn't any help. I used AncestryDNA and 23andMe to locate relatives and after 4 years of trying to piece it all together, I had my answer and found out who my biological father was. Look into "search angels" in adoption networks, sometimes they work free of charge. Good luck
Start with the closest relatives found from your father’s side. We’re there any 1st and 2nd cousins? 3 and 4 cousins can also provide clues. Contact them through the site, inquire. Also check the most common last names that show up on his side, that should help too because one of the surnames should be his. Ancestry (if you took the test with them) categorizes all this info for you-- paternal and maternal sides, common surnames from each side, closest DNA matches…. My best to you. 🙏🏾❤️
Also, check your local library or state archives - they may have genealogist information and those willing to help for free. I have an older cousin who was adopted out by one of my great aunts years ago, she did this (found genealogist at library to help) and was able to connect with our family (sadly, after her biological mother had already passed, but she was able to connect with siblings).

Now cancer and dementia...in denial. So I'm losing myself wondering if he's dead or even knew of me. But having no name , heck my aunts don't remember my birth. Anyway thank u for every prayer 💕❣️

This story hit deep. I was in the same situation. I found out the same exact way I had half siblings. My half siblings treat my brother and like we are "half" of nothing. My father is still alive and treats my brother and I like a piece of nothing. Sometimes I wish we never knew papa was a rolling stone. I have a brother that my daddy told me about, but unfortunately the DNA results were inconclusive. My daddy passed away I'm 2021 and brother finally reached out to me a few months ago. Facebook is my best friend because that's how I was contacted about my brother. We still don't know for sure, but I know what my daddy said and I feel a connection to him in my heart. He's my brother!!!
