    On the difference between neural networks and the brain 40:21. Maybe the reason why we can teach kids the difference between a table and a chair, or the number 1 and the number 3, is that "our" neural networks are already trained up to some extent before we are even born. That makes it easy for us to distinguish objects with few samples. For the same reason, baby sea turtles can distinguish sand from the ocean without having seen any samples.

    Is he and Ali Ghodsi CEO of Data Bricks the same person? I am confused.

      The Guru Gamer no they are two different persons even though they have the same name

      And the fact that both are involved in data science and both are professors (founder of DataBricks was an adjunct professor at Berkeley and the one above teaches at U of Waterloo) confuses the hell out of a lot of people.

      @@NFSprostreet98 Not to mention they're both of Iranian descent and have balding foreheads so they do have some similar phenotypes. BTW Matei Zaharia who is the Chief Techonologist at DataBricks (thus works with one of them) also attended U of Waterloo as an undergraduate (thus probably took courses taught by the other one). So he probably knows both personally.
