Thermostat was not functioning correctly. engine was taking a long time to warm up and would often run particularly cool... so much so that a fault code came up on the dash. All signs pointed to a faulty thermostat, so we investigate.

Should let it get to temp as air will escape out of the top also should have check the glycol level via test strips and or refractometer, so that it inhibitors are still ok in the coolant, if not you will need to change the coolant and flush out the complete system and put new pre mixed 50/50 or buy the concentrate and also buy the distilled water to mix up a 50/50 mix and then flush you complete coolant system engine heater core and radiator to make sure its all got the new stuff in it,, cheers :)

I'm so glad these have a radiator plug. The amount of missing skin from removing the VT V6 hoses!.
