    One year later, after solving the black screen issue with NVIDIA power mizer manager, I used this to change the thermal compound of my notebook. Thank you again!

    Still have one of these beautiful laptops in mint condition and i just like having it in my collection mine has the 920xm cpu and the better screen and the gpu is a FirePro can’t remember the model.

    How about using the other movements von der Kleinen Nachtmusik specially the Romanze is much more suitable to taking this cow of a laptop apart (I got one) and I tell you the allegro is becoming a bit abrasive after the second time. Good work on this "lap"top. This box is more of a desktop and make sure the desk is a solid one. I looked at this video because my i7 is the older one and the newer i7 940XM will allow it to run faster and so will the graphics card ATI firepro m7820. This is the most relevant video I found. Well done, thank you for posting this.

    Awesome video - thanks a lot. Also I admire your patience when your screw driver disassembles almost always ;)
    I worry to harm my Dell so I will try to pick out the dust from the cooling ribs little by little through the fan itself and maybe also use a vaccuum cleaner with very soft power.
    Anyways: thanks again for this great video.

    I followed this tutorial to clean my M6500's fans and CPU and add new thermal paste but now it won't turn on. The power button lights up for about half a second and then turns off and nothing else happens. Any ideas on how to fix this?

      @Wasmachineman 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's due to a missing spring, not something you can easily fix sadly.

      Pduesp I figured it out for some reason if I put both ram sticks under keyboard it does it if I only put one it don’t. And if I put them on the bottom under the back lid it don’t. Guess something is wrong with the slots or something. Took a bit to figure out lol

    • @pduesp
      @pduesp  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Maybe you have to start with slot 1 (A) and then Slot 2 (B) etc.

    Ich habe genau dieses Notebook. Leider wird das Notebook bei mir immer schnell extrem heiß und dadurch auch sehr langsam. Der Lüfter funktioniert einwandfrei und läuft auch permanent auf Hochtouren. Könnte die starke Erhitzung daher kommen, dass die Wärmeleitpaste nicht mehr in Ordnung ist und erneuert werden muss?

      unlikely, I would focus on cleaning the heater fins first, they tend to be extremely dusty and insulated insulated by the dust and heat exchange is thus reduced and the system is unable to be cooled efficiently. Google proper procedure as it is easy to damage board with compressed air and static electricity (that's kinda why I was watching this video :-))

    Please help me. My laptop dell precision m6500 after turning on the CPU goes to 100 and immediately turns off. This happens while the laptop is charging.
    I have changed windows and drivers a thousand times, I even opened it, cleaned it and changed the RAM, but it is still the same.
