Ik ruik na al die jaren meteen dat remzand weer, een stuk romantischer dan die blokkendozen van nu. En je kon zo lekker achterop meesurfen op die dingen..
Hi there, i don't speak Dutch i'm afraid but it looks like the video reminds you of times past. Check out this one if you like the Amsterdam Underground, th-cam.com/video/_HHxDJOQEHs/w-d-xo.html, enjoy!
Soi Buakhao Correct! I made many miles in those trams when I was a boy in the age of 12-16 years old :) Those trams had a soul with their squeeks, rattles and bumpy rides. I'll check out your other vids too. Cheers and thanks for sharing this nostalgic video of Amsterdam and the public transportation systems!
Sorry for the late reply. I'm pleased i got the gist of your comment, i never knew the age of these trams but they looked & sounded good, and somewhat old, comparable to our London Routemasters. Plus i just love trams, a very civilised form of transport. I will get some more of these up in the near future.
The comment above reads ' these trams will stay in my heart forever'...Yes, they certainly had an old world charm about them. Long gone now i should imagine?....
@@marcelhogenes729 I guessed they probably had when i was looking at Google Street View, there only appeared more modern ones in the views. They had a classic old look even in 1987 although i don't know their exact age.
@@marcelhogenes729 They did very well then, comparable with our Routemaster buses. I'm glad i took my rather large Panasonic M1 video camera on holiday with me, i did take a fair bit of video of the trams plus some of the Underground line in Amsterdam, see here th-cam.com/video/_HHxDJOQEHs/w-d-xo.html
And more modern trams i should imagine. I seem to recall back then they wanted to open more Underground lines and get rid of the trams but i understand that didn't happen.....

Leuk!!!

@@SoiBuakhaoRoutemasterbus How do you even get your hands on videos like this?
Thanks for uploading
Love the "Bolkop". My tram when I lived there before we moved to Canada. They were grey in the sixties. Nice video, thanks.
I have more and will get them up in due course.
Ik zou best graag nog eens een weekje terug naar '87 willen...
Yes, i enjoyed my visits to Amsterdam back then very much. I have more tram video to upload so you will be able to see more of old-ish Amsterdam soon!
Mijn geboorte jaar 😬✌🏼🫡

Soi Buakhao the first series 551-578 / 851-878 appeared in 1957.
So most of them were 40+ when they were demolished
