I absolutely love how much fun they are clearly having on stage. Compared to earlier performances I feel like after Momoko joined permanently they've had such a playful air about them. Less of that super-intense acting/stage show they had earlier, but still amamzing music
I couldn't agree with you more. I may be wrong but it really does seem like the permanent installation of Momo has been like an injection of Happy Juice for Babymetal. It is such a joy seeing them this way.
You really notice it on the little unscripted interactions betwen them that they have whenever it doesn't interfere with the scripted moves. It's a joy to see them doing that.
I think it's also how they've grown older and have been performing for so long now that they can appreciate it more and have fun

I think that's the difference from a festival to a show that's just theirs, it's probably a whole other process in the backstage for the girls as well.
Also a bigger venue of actual fans has to be a completely different vibe
I have the blue-ray DVD and a good sound system, and the 2 day concert there were issues with the sound, the concerts are recorded from "feed" - preamp stage. The first day Su-Metal's mic was a little low and the drums (especially the bass) set high which meant her singing was a little drowned - still fantastic of course. On the second day there were turning up the lead vocal channel, Metali was song 10 of 15; but the vocal channel amplification was beginning to fail and become distorted and loosing lower frequencies. By the time of meta taro (14 of 15 song), when Momo lead the singing (it was her Birthday), her head mic was spot on and sounded great, but Su's channel started perfect with a rich sound, but quickly really began to fail with distortion and loss of lower register and became quite rough. Arcadia (15 last song) it was problematic. I guess a Sound engineers Rondo of nightmare.
So what you are hearing is beginning of Su's sound channel being a little off.

I've always enjoyed this song but now that I know what the lyrics are I like it so much more.

I feel like I got into babymetal at the right time. I’m not gonna lie it was ratatata that made me really decide to finally check them out. I was gonna check them out after kingslayer came out. Now can’t wait to see them live in nyc in November

Just another reason why this is one of my favorite channels on TH-cam. What a great upload. I was lucky enough to see them perform this in Boston last year. This brought back happy memories. Kitsunes up.
This was such a fun experience both nights. The crowd was energetic, tireless, and welcoming to my group of four Americans. Those three beautiful tiny young ladies give everything they have to the audience and are fountains of charisma. Can't wait to see them again in November.
So the band? Don't you go to a rock concert to listen to the band? Or do you just go to perv over little girls hundreds of yards away on a stage?

Chris Kelly's guitar riffs in the kami intro are from his own song, Sunbreak. He's an amazing guitarist! In fact, the whole band is absolutely phenomenal!
Yeah you're right i was thinking the same thing when i checked his channel and heard sunbreak for the first time. CJ also posted a similar version of his solo part on insta a few months ago

This should have been the official live version instead of the one that they released earlier this year, this is 1000% better that the job CiRCUS HEaD did.
When Momo is directing the crowd to get low and then gives the thumbs up before her Kabuki part her facial expressions made me laugh, so good, they all look like they are having so much fun.
Unfortunate the "official" couldn't physically include Tom. But you bet I freaked as a long-time RATM fan when my new drug Babymetal had a colab with... THAT sound!

As much as I love the western kami band I really hate the masks, I understand that the face paint might be annoying to deal with but being able to see the faces of the og kami band was so much fun and made it feel like they actually part of the performance and not just in the background, the black clothing doesn't help either as it makes them blend into the background even more

This was always one of my least favorite Babymetal songs... and then I saw it performed live, with the Kami Band intro and ever since then, it's been one of my favorite songs. It's just such a fun and energetic song and I never realized that until seeing it performed live.
