+Michael Howard If only my petco told me to buy them in pairs. I bought a single one and he got sad a little down the line, so I just bought a buddy for him. The new guy is a baby tho, so he's roughly 1/3rd of his size. Need to wait a few months before they go in the same cage. Tried to introduce them in a neutral environment but my older guy was a bit too rough. Gonna wait for little guy to get bigger.
Just the most beautiful vid ever m8. Chokes me up every single time. Christ, how I miss my little 'uns. If only they lived a few years longer. Once they're gone Life can never be the same again. Thank you
I miss my two little ones, both succumbed to cancers. A ferret will steal your heart when it comes into your life, but breaks your heart when it leaves.
This makes me miss my ferret, Cleo, she was attacked by a new baby ferret that we got because her companion died. She died a day after being attacked. I never cried so hard for anything smaller than a dog. Watching this makes me miss her so much. Sure they shit everywhere and steal all your stuff, but they have so much personality and are so lively even at an old age.
The title of your video had me worried for a moment because I have been wanting a ferret for a long time. Then I read the comments and watched the videos lol. Nice title trick! :P I am getting one soon!!!!!!!!
my ferrets went to a specialist vet and she took them and gave them the care they needed. she was trained in exotic pets and ferrets and knew how to deal with what they had. and had the tools and meds they needed. only one of mine died and that was bandit with the urinary track infection and crystization of urine in his bladder from all the cat food his former owners fed him.
I had ferrets as a kid. They never ONCE bitt me. One day my dad was stupid enough to feed them out of his hand. My hob mistook his finger for a pilchard and messed is finger up big time!!!! Those jaws are pretty powerful! I love ferrets
If you bring up ferrets with love and care, they are amazing things that give much more love back. All of mine I am happy to say are all trust worthy enough for me to feed them meat right out of my mouth... and I do quite often. Even our latest rescue, who I have scars to prove his viciousness on day one, now eats from my mouth after just a few months. Love them and give them the love they deserve and they will return it 10-fold.
As I have a ferret-proof apartment (no cables where she can reach, furniture fitted neatly agaist walls so she can't get stuck, etc) my ferret doesn't even have a cage. And yes, just one ferret. She's a rescue and she's not dealing well with other animals all the time, but she does have contact with other ferrets almost daily (neighbors and friends have ferrets too), so she's not lonely.
I have two, one of them dark the other white, the dark one was an ideal kit always - super friendly, always active, bit me once, one day after i got him, he was about 2 weeks old. A snap on the head - never bit me again although he loves to chew my fingers (very gently). The white one reminds me of a suicidal emo kid in high school, always a problem with my poor beaver, he used to get depressed, frightened all the time, and of course it was harder to train him. Both a year old now, all is fine.
i had a custom made cage for my 7 ferrets. it cost me over $600 to have it made and sent to me but was worth it. it had 2 parts called big ben and the ranch. my fuzzy's loved it
I know it's 7 years later... but... that song is from the Motion Picture Soundtrack of Dune (1984) by Toto. I can't recall which track, but it's definitely from the Dune soundtrack.
lol I almost didnt want to watch your video because I HATE people saying ferrets bite or are evil or dangerous, but I am so glad I did I LOVED your video and when your baby is looking right at the camera it was so cute :) thank you for the beautiful music to a wonderful video as they lick your hand :)
It should be added that ferrets usually only bite because that's how they play; their pain threshold is much higher than a human's - there's no malice in it.
dangerously cute. :D seriously though, no, ferrets are domestic pets. they were selectively bred from weasels and stoats, which are wild. ferrets are only as crazy and neurotic as their owners. this makes me miss my ferrets. best pets i've ever had.
I'd love to know the name of the background music... the video was adorable too^^ I wish I had the kind of lifestyle that would let me have a ferret...
I absolutely love ferrets and have spent time handling them. They are not at all dangerous. I think that if you care for them and treat them right, they will stay good and have more fun with you
i have ferrets at my college and i was once visciously bitten by one, it may have been because i spooked it when i reached down to pick it up, it might have been because it was fed up of all the people who had picked it up previously that day..but ever since i've been wary of going near them and its put me off having them as pets :( even though i think they are so cool and adorable
I think I need to show this to some of my county officials. Today I found out that ferrets are technically illegal in the county I live in, out in rural Iowa.
Very dangerous indeed! I have 2 bloodthirsty ferrets too. Licking my fingers to death and sleeping on me so I cant go anywhere! What a horror! Very beautiful ferrets you have :)
It is impossible for an animal to be bad. It all matters on how you treat them. If you are bad to them, they be bad back. So treat others on how you want to be treated. : )
you get what you give. give love and respect you get it back. as with all animals there is the potential they will bite if they feel threatened or get irritated. You have to learn their boundary's and take their signals, the hissing, the laying back of ears, licking of lips, hackles raised, ect. research a pet before you own it! A ferret licking your arm or any part of your bod is their way of saying I love you. Toby does it all the time. he is a very loving little bundle of fur ball!
me and my wife had 7 of the little fuzz butts. sadly they all either died from health issues or we had to give them away to those that could afford the healthcare to keep them alive. i plan to get another or 2 when i am able. i miss my carpet sharks
I use to have one and loved him to bits had to get him done though he really was a smelly ferret. He didn't bite but the female we had at the time did she liked biting me. The just need handling all the time. Enjoy ferret lovers.
Don't smack or flick your finger at their nose - it can cause damage. I would rather use the method of (gently) prying their jaws open and stick a finger in their mouth every time they bite. They hate it and will soon learn to stop, and it doesn't hurt them.
@Chewbacca0678 Ferrets naturally have no fear of people. However, they can develop fear if abused, and when they bite out of fear, it is bad. Do not assume that getting a ferret from Petco, or other petstore, means that they are good ferrets. I purchased a female from Petco once and she had a very bad case of fear biting, so much so that a few caused temp nerve damage. Always do a thorough inspection and make sure they have return policy.
@BlackTearUS I've not met one thats been aggressive. They just need to be socialized just like any other animal. Fighting dogs are not born mean, they're raised to be mean.
No animal should be left alone with a young child or babies. There are insidences of ferrets chewing a babies fingers off. Babies tend to grab things and try to put them into their mouths and if you do this to an animal, some time they will bite to get freed. So never ever leave an animal of any kind alone with a young baby or child under 10.
i loved my carpet sharks. they would run and chase each other and one of the cats would play bop the fetter as the line of them went by. i miss them and if i am able to care for them as i did when i first got them again i will get me another. but i cant handle 7 at the same time now. i remember how i could shake the container of yougies and they would come running. they loved the peanut butter flavored ones
it all depends on nuturing/spaying. if they have no nuts they dont bite if they are raised right, my domesticated rescued ferrets (i didnt cut off there balls i think thats wrong) actually give me kisses waking me up in the morning and they sleep all night by my feet, they are very affectionate animals. My other ferrets, the ones that arent nutured are nice if you know how to act around them and raise them right.
Just depends on the personality. But usually can be trained as babies not to bite. Teething and biting are different! If you adopt an adult you just have to be patient and show them who is the boss. Don't be mean but gently teach them not to
They have a sent that people think stink. The stink if from their oils on their skin. Some don't smell it because they are use to their animal... You can give them baths in a sink or a usual bath tub. Some ferrets do not like baths, some do. if u do give a ferret a bath, you can use ferret soap or baby soap. I learned this from online. Idk if this helps but jsut look online google and links will show up. they help alot
My two ferrets are perfectly gentle, and have never bitten anyone. Not the family. Not strangers. Not the cat. Any animal will protect itself; and react to their owners long term treatment. I don’t care what it is.
So, I was wondering. Do ferrets sometimes turn on owners like a lion would? Because I'm not sure if that's a myth started by the fact that a baby was killed, or if it's true or not. I don't intend on getting one, just felt like knowing.
Hi there. So, like any animal of any kind, they can turn on their human and attack. Ferrets are no different even though they have been domesticated since the accent Egyptian times or earlier. It is possible to get a ferret that may turn on your some day. I think the odds of winning the lottery are about the same as that happening honestly. My 2 girls attack and rip apart shoes...I pick them up, and it's licks and climbing on me and making noise...all my years I have never had any ferret turn on me...they will flash teeth if you tickle them...but they just don't "attack".
Maybe i can shed some light. Littter box use is not instinct, but playing and going in sand is. they do learn it from their mothers, just like their mothers did. They wont use it everytime for a washroom but sometimes. If its not nearby they forget about it.. / Find the lowest corner(low light helps) in the the room, almost guarantee that they will deficate there
Actually, ferrets have been domesticated for so long that if you put them in the wild they would die because they wouldn't know how to hunt or take care of themselves, (with the exception of the blackfooted ferret).
OMG GOD!!! look how they bit you!!!! There is blood everywhere!!!!!! These things should not be allowed to live anywhere! now sarcasm aside, you sir, are one of the best people out there. I wish your ferrets long life, and lots of sox
Petco Employee: Ferrets are basically like kittens on crack. Also, buy them in pairs.
+Michael Howard If only my petco told me to buy them in pairs. I bought a single one and he got sad a little down the line, so I just bought a buddy for him. The new guy is a baby tho, so he's roughly 1/3rd of his size.

The more love you give, the more you get back. That long, lazy, "I love you stare", says it all.
I^: my ferret doesn't bite either, only pure angel kisses.
Just the most beautiful vid ever m8. Chokes me up every single time. Christ, how I miss my little 'uns. If only they lived a few years longer. Once they're gone Life can never be the same again. Thank you

The most awesome creatures on earth! I miss mine every day. Rip Sam I miss you boy!
Ferrets ARE very dangerous- they can worm their way into your affections and capture your heart.
There's nothing better than waking up to a ferret licking your nose X3
when the white one went for her close up to the camera, I just wanted to give her snuggles
Sleepy weasels are some of the cutest things in the universe.
The title of your video had me worried for a moment because I have been wanting a ferret for a long time. Then I read the comments and watched the videos lol. Nice title trick! :P I am getting one soon!!!!!!!!
1:43 on is heart-melting. What a couple of sweethearts.
Those are very beautiful ferrets! Can I ask you what the background music is, please? It's very nice!
This is adorable! My ferret Eva is all cuddley and licky when she wakes up too. She's never bitten me, even when playing.
my ferrets went to a specialist vet and she took them and gave them the care they needed. she was trained in exotic pets and ferrets and knew how to deal with what they had. and had the tools and meds they needed. only one of mine died and that was bandit with the urinary track infection and crystization of urine in his bladder from all the cat food his former owners fed him.
Cute! I love how she put her cute face and little nose almost all the way up to the camera. hehe She was probably curious...
I had ferrets as a kid. They never ONCE bitt me. One day my dad was stupid enough to feed them out of his hand. My hob mistook his finger for a pilchard and messed is finger up big time!!!! Those jaws are pretty powerful!
I love ferrets
The worst my little guy does is nibble at my toes
Of course they aren't dangerous, they're just adorably cute rowdy creatures. They look so nice and loving
The music was getting to me lol
If you bring up ferrets with love and care, they are amazing things that give much more love back.

my ferrets never bit me unless he was playing
a ferret tried to steal my button in a petstore once
As I have a ferret-proof apartment (no cables where she can reach, furniture fitted neatly agaist walls so she can't get stuck, etc) my ferret doesn't even have a cage. And yes, just one ferret. She's a rescue and she's not dealing well with other animals all the time, but she does have contact with other ferrets almost daily (neighbors and friends have ferrets too), so she's not lonely.
It's a made by Ferret Nation, I think it's model 182. It really is one of the best cages I've seen. You can buy it for around $200.
I have two, one of them dark the other white, the dark one was an ideal kit always - super friendly, always active, bit me once, one day after i got him, he was about 2 weeks old. Aww! They're like big versions of my own two ratties :) Colette and Nibbler.
Love the song!!! What is it??
ur video is so beautifull, I love it, and I want to know what song did u put in ur video, what is the name of the song?

They have a hammock. I presume that's the preferred ferret bed.
dangerously cute. :D seriously though, no, ferrets are domestic pets. they were selectively bred from weasels and stoats, which are wild. ferrets are only as crazy and neurotic as their owners. this makes me miss my ferrets. best pets i've ever had.
they were bred from polecats actually
I'd love to know the name of the background music... the video was adorable too^^ I wish I had the kind of lifestyle that would let me have a ferret...
aw, they're such darling ferrets. i love them, and hope that i can later get some of my own
my ferret bite's me but softly that means it wants to play
Ferrets the best friend of your roommate from hell
I was screaming in fear when the licking started OMG !!!
Just like puppies they need to be taught that biting is unacceptable.
people need to realize that ferrets are like other pets, theyre only good if your train them/ treat them right
I just made embarrassing noises at the high levels of cute in this video.
I absolutely love ferrets and have spent time handling them. They are not at all dangerous. I think that if you care for them and treat them right, they will stay good and have more fun with you

Aww soo cute, whats the name of the song played?
I just got my first two ferrets on Tuesday and I can already tell that they are sweet loving animals
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VIDEO THAT I NEVER SEEN :') so cute ferrets :)
good thing you came back, theyre sweet mine will sleep in bed with me sometimes
I think I need to show this to some of my county officials. Today I found out that ferrets are technically illegal in the county I live in, out in rural Iowa.
Those two look so Ominous.
I love how tome ferrets look like they have masks on! Freakin super ferret!
My God, did you see how viciously those ferrets attacked his hand? I bet just minutes after this video ended there was nothing but bones left.
ferrets, one of many animals that can display love.
whats the song name please it was beautiful
Ah, yeah I knew I recognized that song from a movie.
cute video :) my ferret loves giving kisses, it's adorable!
Ferrets are excellent rabbit hunters. Popular in Britain. However here in the states ferrets are primarily fuzzball heart stealers.
what did you put on your hands that make the ferrets lick? dont say there is nothing there because they keep licking in the same spasific spots.
Very dangerous indeed! I have 2 bloodthirsty ferrets too. Licking my fingers to death and sleeping on me so I cant go anywhere! What a horror!
Very beautiful ferrets you have :)
So cutes! =3
Truth: Ferrets are better humanitarians than most humans.
It is impossible for an animal to be bad. It all matters on how you treat them. If you are bad to them, they be bad back. So treat others on how you want to be treated. : )

oh my god that music sounded so sad =/ i thought something bad was gonna happen i almost cried LOL
They are dangerous... dangerously cute!!!
me and my wife had 7 of the little fuzz butts. sadly they all either died from health issues or we had to give them away to those that could afford the healthcare to keep them alive. i plan to get another or 2 when i am able. i miss my carpet sharks

FERRETS R DANGEROUSLY CUTE AND CUDDILY TO HAV AS A PET
Don't smack or flick your finger at their nose - it can cause damage.

read the description people

Blame the ferrets they said...
Kids ain't guilty they said...
What kind of cage is that one? I've seen it on lots of videos. Is it the best cage or cheaper??
@BlackTearUS I've not met one thats been aggressive. They just need to be socialized just like any other animal. Fighting dogs are not born mean, they're raised to be mean.
at last, somebody with a grain of sense
A ferret life is so tough! lol
OMG!!!! NOOOO DON'T STICK YOUR HAND IN THERE WITH THOSE BEASTS!!!!

Precious sweeties!
read the description, you obviously didnt understand the meaning the author of the video tried to give to the title
i loved my carpet sharks. they would run and chase each other and one of the cats would play bop the fetter as the line of them went by. i miss them and if i am able to care for them as i did when i first got them again i will get me another. but i cant handle 7 at the same time now. i remember how i could shake the container of yougies and they would come running. they loved the peanut butter flavored ones

1:53 soo cute!! I really want a ferret and I've wanted one for a while now but my mom won't let me:(
I freakin love ferrets
My two ferrets are perfectly gentle, and have never bitten anyone. Not the family. Not strangers. Not the cat. Any animal will protect itself; and react to their owners long term treatment. I don’t care what it is.
I love this video... I have three ferrets and they are the cutest most sweet babies... I LOVE them sooooooo much.
I'm not comfortable with an idea having ferrets as pets! They belong to nature, not home.
Oh my god, the blood gushing from your finger.....I mean it took your finger..wow!!! What a killer.....
*Holds ferret in front of someone's face* Does this look DANGEROUS to YOU?!
Tarzan anyone? No?
